Nope. Other way round in our house. Drives me bonkers. Logical to have it front-loading in my view. Also leaving the loo seat up. Just plain rude: if you accidentally sit on the porcelain in the middle of the night it's not pleasant! Buying those socks in packets where each pair is slightly different style/colour so it takes decades to pair them. Cramming the bin extra full so they don't have to empty it themselves and makes it extra hard to remove and leaves mess on the lid so you have to clean that too. Standing in front of the fridge when someone is cooking and staying there even after you've had to move them twice. Leaving keys, bag, tie and other detritus on the kitchen island - particularly shopping that remains there for weeks (until I clear it up having lost the will to live). I also hate middle lane hoggers. Having said that I can't stand people who come right up behind you aggressively in the fast lane when there's no space in the middle lane for you to safely move across (having gone in the fast lane to pass the lane hogger and someone in front has taken the space you were going into in the middle lane). Life is very stressful for me, seemingly. |

Dom Ball is a cracking bloke but I think we're overdoing the DB got Ipswich to the Prem routine. He played 137 minutes this season in the Championship, 67 minutes of which were against us. |

Love to know how much time you devote to working for free every month? If you’re any good at painting and decorating or gardening that would be great if you could pop round. Clive already spends huge amounts of time on the free content he already provides for us all which is far superior to a lot of so-called sports journalism out there. Actually it was posters on here that suggested he charge for the very limited content (compared to the overall work he puts out) that’s not freely available (and even then he often provides transcripts) to make it viable for him to continue running the site. |

I'm going for Southampton because it would be quite funny for Leeds to be too big not to go up yet again. And because we do relatively well against them over the last few years, so why not again? I also think we could do decently well against WBA and Norwich if we continue to improve over next season. And because we've lost home and away against Southampton in the last four matches we've played them, including that match where Austin scored a beautiful goal and then Pelie topped it two minutes later to break our hearts. |

We reportedly got £2 million for Seny but he was 28 at the time, whereas Cooper is 24. Also Seny's last season for us wasn't his best for us coming back after injury the previous season he seemed to have lost his appetite for playing for us. Cooper on the other hand has had a great season. |

Thanks for insight Danny. Another thing I like about him is watching him on match days he's palpably itching to get on the pitch, even though he hasn't been able to play. |

Yes exactly. After we'd played 33 matches, Birmingham were 6 points ahead of us with a match in hand. In those next seven matches, including that win over Leicester, we went four points ahead of them. Those matches, including the Jimmy Dunne superstrike to beat Brum, ended up saving our season. |

I think the rumour is that he's here until the end of next season. But our new CEO doesn't intend to publish the length of players' contracts from now on. |

Still love the guy. So pleased to see him still doing well. It's quite unbelievable sometimes when you see clips of him in the hoops. I think we say him at his irrepressible, swaggering best unfettered by all the defensive work he seems to have to prioritise at Palace to the detriment of his attacking prowess. For me what breaks my heart is who the replacements were. Mark Hately in place of Sir Les and Ian Dowie for Trevor Sinclair.. At least with Ebs we had Chris Willock who wasn't quite at Eb's level was an exciting player with potential. |

He did a job for us when things were dire. Not quite at the level but always put his heart and soul into it which is worthy of respect. Wish him well. I'm sure he'll find a role in a club somewhere as he has an excellent attitude. |

Thanks once again for another brilliant season of content, if not always of football. It's the first season I can remember where I really felt I was having palpitations watching us sometimes. And then came St Marti and the clouds parted. It's still been very stressful though and the fact you have churned out your fantastic prose week after week has made it just about bearable at times. The fans have been magnificent, and while I agree we don't want to be complacent, the fact we've stayed behind them through thin (almost the entire first half of the season) and thick (post Marti's arrival) has in large part pulled them through. I've met some great people on my away trips, so thanks to you all, and it's been more good than bad overall. Have a great summer Clive and everyone on the board. Thanks to you all. |

Some of them don't seem to understand about contracts... You can't just tell players they're going to leave if: 1) no other club wants them 2) they don't want to play for a club that does want them. Largely why Forest ended up still paying a cast of thousands when they got promoted as they couldn't offload their just in case Championship level players. |

I saw him once at Waterloo station. He's very weedy and looks like he needs a really good bath with medicated shampoo. I don't usually like personal slights but in his case... I think he has a very big chip on both shoulders. No idea why. |

Yes I agree it's more of a risk for the manager because I suppose they look bad too if the goalie sucks and as you say it's more obvious in that position cos it's hard to cover for it. I imagine for the same reason it's hard to get decent loans for our goalie at a League 1 or 2 club as their managers don't want to risk it either, so they don't get a loan at all or they're sitting on the bench while the gnarly old pro gets to play. I wonder are most of the Prem goalies transferred in from other clubs, as it must be even harder cutting your teeth at that level. |

Yes, that all makes sense Brian. It's hard to test that in any other way than playing I guess but you need a credible alternative in case it all goes tits up (as I said earlier with Green and Lumley when they got the yips). I tend to get over-excited at the thought of bringing our own guys in and many haven't ended up making it. |

I wasn't Oslo, sorry for any confusion. I was comparing overall value to the team in response to the PP who said they'd rather have Hayden than Andersen. I was comparing the attacking returns for Chair and Willock with those of Andersen in order to assess his value, which seem to stack up pretty well just statistically. It's hard to compare those obviously with the benefits of a defensive midfielder because their contribution to the team is less obvious to track statistically, e.g. closing down space. But I do think it's likely that anyone who contributes towards goals is more likely to cost more than someone who plays a defensive role, and as we already have that in Andersen, I'd rather spend our very limited funds in someone who doesn't come from a Prem club like Hayden and is therefore likely to be very expensive. But that's just my sense, maybe it is really hard to find a decent defensive midfielder... |

That's kind of where I am. It would be amazing to save some money on bringing in our own player, and he seemed as good as Seny and Begovic yesterday overall. That's in the sense that he had some strengths which overcome some of their weaknesses. However, it was only one match with nothing riding on it and I don't know how he would deal with coming back after making a mistake, for instance. I still have nightmares about Lumley and Green because once a goalkeeper loses confidence they practically start throwing it into their own net. It all depends what Begovic actually earns and if he'd be willing to do another season on a back up wage because I don't think we should be paying him top dollar. |
