I'd agree with all of that. The national academy was also a big factor in developing those players. I think a big reason for the waning interest is that there's no appetite for the URC as a competition coupled with ridiculous ko times. I think 4 regions could contiue to work perfectly well in a Anglo/Welsh or even a British league. Combined with links to the Universities and school 16-18 rugby provison or scholarhsips so that we don't lose the best players to England. Oh, and a proper audit of the WRU's books to see where all the money goes.
Luckily there are decent people like Stephen Kinsella and his group who don't get nearly enough airtime on this subject whilst muppets like Charlie Mullins are on constantly.
This trade deal is our biggest since Brexit and represents only 0.1% of our GDP. All trades deals added together since Brexit add up to 0.5%. Still a long way to go to make up for the loss 4% incurred. Typical of Farage to frame it as 'Indians taking British jobs'. Never turned up to meetings to represent British fisherman in Europe, has barely set foot in Clacton where he is supposed to reprsent his constituency. The guy is a grifter who continues to spout his nonsense and people continue to fall for it.
Not that it should matter, but I often browse the forum and pop in occasionally, sometimes to highlight hypocrisy.
The irony of Boundy calling out some posters when him (and you to be fair) are exactly the same but from an opposite political perspective. It's like an GB news echo chamber on here sometimes with the pair of you. That said, I'm sure he's a terrific guy.
You've made my point for me. Whether you're a 'beaut' or not is in the eye of the beholder.
Just a point of order. Are you sure you are correct re: the use of its v it's? I thought its is a possessive pronoun for nouns that don’t have a defined gender. In contrast, it’s (with an apostrophe) is the shortened form of it is or it has.
Another great post Major. You bring sense, reason and above all, fact to proceedings which is sometimes sorely missed on here. I agree, there are some services that need serious questions about how this monster was able to commit this abhorrent crime, hence the public inquiry. Justice needs to be seen to be done for those poor kids and their families. I also agree that there are those who are pushing the cover up angle to promote their own agendas which is shameful.
It that was against the Swans I'd be livid. Both feet in the air, Kane got to the ball first and kicked the Dutch lad on his follow through. Never a pen in a million years! That's the beauty of football though, an opinion from every angle.
It's always a difficult one to answer. There are many 16 year old who I would trust with the vote far more than some adults but there are also many who are not mature enough. However, if we still accept 16 year olds to sign up for the Army then we must also give them the right to vote. If they are old enough to fight and die for their country, then they are old enough to decide who is going to send them. As a society, we can't have it both ways.
