Gavin Levy - Academy Season Review
at 18:16 22 May 2024

This is where the strong foundations of a club should begin. Good to see talk of alignment through the club, should have been there along.
Been watching a series with my kids about the Crystal Palace academy, they were explaining they are releasing young players who a few years ago they would have rated highly and kept. But now they only want players who can play the same style as the first team. Makes sense bringing players through who actually have a chance of first team football.

None of them particularly excite me, but I would expect Forest to spend big to go straight back up, so would rather avoid them.

The Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
at 17:08 5 May 2024

Happy enough with Joey for another year as long as its a suitable contract in relation to his playing time unless he takes a part time coaching role. He has a lot of knowledge, experience and leadership to give.

Swansea City : The confusing decision making for a whole season
at 17:00 5 May 2024

The whole season has been a confusing mess. The most worrying aspect has to be the recruitment. That includes managerial recruitment in Duff and majority of signings been made in those two windows. Duff failed and got sacked, Watson and co get another transfer window to right their wrongs.
Id like to think Williams will come good, clearly he has got a lot to learn. But he is the third coach/manager to work with this set of players, it can't always be the coaches fault.
We have far too many players not fit to play for this club, normally I'd go into a close season worrying about who we are going to lose. This year I don't care, majority can clear off, too many below average players with work rates to match.
Fair play to any fans that stayed behind for a lap of honour, I honestly don.t think they deserve it this.
Hopefully, Watson, Coleman and their mates can pull a shrewd transfer window out of their questionable football knowledge minds.

A bit of energy and desire, as basic as that is, many players have lacked that this season.

Few posters want him sacked so they can have a new manger bounce for the playoffs. Don't think his "charisma (bullsh!t)" is working there.

How and why did we start following the swans.
at 22:29 19 Mar 2024

Moved here aged around 18, was struggling to settle in Pembrokeshire when a colleague dragged me a long to the Swans against Oxford I think during the Hollins era (possibly first game of the season). In all honesty I went for the beer.
It was an awful game, awful football but....I absolutely fell in love the the Vetch, the north bank and most of all the fans. I was hooked. Since then, I've been a ST holder for many seasons and am very proud that my two sons are also ST holders.

Same here, under Martin I really couldn't care less if Patto stayed here or not. Seems to have grown into the club and understands what it means to be a Jack. Saw him outside the ground a few months ago, he was brilliant, went out of his way to interact with the fans. Key member of the squad this year during difficult times, hope he stays next year,

Heard them too, only positive was that it was a small handful of people doing it and the many others around them chose not to join in.

"three major areas we need to address: the connection between supporters and the club, football performance, and the business operation."
Basically the whole set up of the club then?
The first of those two areas have been in decline since the day they took over the club.
