just adding that i hold zero resentment towards cifuentes really good manager and i wish him the best (whether he ends up managing in or out of our division) just trying to imagine what self respecting manager would come work for us now |

same on bbc sport (where i just learned of this story) comment section filled with people calling him a beale (haha!) or saying why would other clubs be interested in such a mediocre manager i have had my theories on how these accounts get propagated- probably done by the same person who put out the narrative that we signed isaac hayden on a sweetheart loan deal out of the goodness of newcastles heart and some phantom relationship b/w the newcastle minority shareholder and amit. come on- in the history of football, has anyone ever heard of this kind of arrangement? the team that sold elliot anderson to notts forest for FFP is giving us mates rates on loanees? the moment i saw that narrative making its way on social media was the moment i realised some was putting stories out there |

this "article" is a good reminder of how lucky we are to have clive write match reports. a first year journalism student at any university could whip together this article in about 20 minutes. its so shoddily, lazily written and im surprised anyone would actually pay for this. contrast thta to what clive does for free- match reports, previews, histories, etc also, how does one infer cifuentes wants "assurances the club want to progress [to the prem]" from the generic quote below.... genuinely embarrassing "And Cifuentes said after Monday's 2-1 home defeat by Swansea he wanted assurances the club want to progress to the next level having dropped out of the Premier League ten years ago. The Spaniard said: “The supporters since I first came here have been amazing. “But I would like to give them something else and not just celebrate another season in the Championship." |

im not in the know, but i suspect lee hoos is just a figurehead who provides cover fire for the board this isnt a sophisticated public company board with independent directors. the board comprises of shareholders who seem to make the big overall decisons by consensus. the average fan however would think that the chairman is somehow the head of the board. none of the shareholders wants that role b/c they are perceived to be in charge and get all the abuse from fans when things go wrong.... if youre ruben, whose lived his whole life with a silver spoon and probably gets treated like royalty in malaysia or amit who married into one of the richest families in the uk, you dont want to deal with fans abusing you non stop on twitter, etc however, the shareholders dont want to bring in a bona fide independent person to be on the board b/c they want someone they know who they also know will toe the line and who they can kind of control.... so lee hoos sits on the board as the chairman and when stuff goes wrong, the fans direct their anger at him rather than ruben, amit etc etc |

surprised bennie has not featured more based on what little ive seen so far.... getting behind and stretching pitch, coming short and linking up- all over the pitch . a very well rounded strikers performance |

about that 27 yr old CEO/DOF funny, i seem to recall him doing a kings speech and making himself very publicly available when we had a very good run between end of november and end of january has anyone seem him recently? is he another richard dobson who only comes out of hiding when qpr gets a result? in general, though- i passed that point of not caring years ago: 12 18 16 19 13 9 11 20 18 Those are our league positions over the last 10 years and we're 15th now and downwardly trending. I still go, but its really hard to get excited about another bottom half of the table qpr hull fixture -whereas at least 5 years ago, i could vividly remember each game, goal, flash points, etc, there are so many matches that just blur together. theres the odd jimmy dunne birmingham match, leeds 4-0, etc, but its getting hard to distinguish some of these repetitive fixtures. i have almost no recollection of our 0-0 with burnley, our 2-0 loss to blackburn, etc which were only earlier this season |

yes, but some of them will invariably pick up points over the next 2 fixtures, and some definitely will (eg, swansea playing derby this weekend) if we lose the next 2 matches, we are basically in a relegation fight |

we are 5 points clear of 22nd, who we play on saturday. if we lose, thats a 2 point deficit. if we then also lose to oxford next week, theyre at least level us we need at least 2 combined points against cardiff and oxford, b/c after that, some of our remaining fixtures are pretty tough (v Bristol, at Preston, v Burnley, at Sunderland) and the pressure is going to really ramp up |

Agreed, the posts on here are so bizarre. Watched the end of the second half and he was very threatening Why do we have to pretend like he was not good for us and that most qpr fans sang out his name when he was on the pitch last year? Did everyone forget that he was consistently one of the hardest working players in the squad? Why are we also acting like he left when we’re the ones who sold him? The people on here rooting for him to do poorly seem to also forget he has a sell on clause. Qpr fans should hope he does well ….. I don’t rly get why fans are watching his matches and rooting for him to fail as if they’re the ones who personally have to justify the decision to sell him Just highlights the fickleness and irrationality of fans and why I also support players acting in their own interests. Imagine playing as hard as he did and having so called supporters rooting against him 6 months later |

Honestly, any qpr fan who gives Jimmy dunne stick should look himself in the mirror Putting aside the fact that literally every other person would leave for a higher paying or better job, it’s comical how short people’s memories are I remember reading a thread on here last year in January about cifuentes fell out with dunne and Armstrong and they were both off Dunne is so orofessional he literally played a game the day after his father’s funeral (and scored)…this happened literally less than 2 months ago…. yet there are so called supporters who actually think hes done something wrong and owes us something Pathetic |

Well, we eo know for sure that sheff u made an offer. Wilder essentially came out and said as much The reporting I saw from Dave McIntyre (who is reliable) is that we’d only selll dunne if we had a replacement lined up… that would imply that we thought that we couldn’t deal with the incremental downgrade of Edwards and Ashby in our quest for 12th. It didn’t seem like the issue was the money Linking the sale to a purchase/loan is like buying/ selling a home in a chain (but only giving yourselves 24 hours to find a solution). Why do that when we have two right back options |
