Loan watch 25/26
at 00:35 6 Sep 2025

God bless him and I hope he does well there, but Celar was unforgivably bad for almost half a season up front for us - offered literally nothing. The two games before he got injured there was something and maybe he’d finally got the hang of the Championship and was unlucky, but then he re remerged for the start of this season and continued to do fk all.

Watching Kone spend all the Charlton game wrestle hard with his centre back Jones (who I thought did really well) including a flying knee to the chest before scoring reminded me of what a centre forward should be doing.

Celar just seemed like the easiest bloke to mark ever, always three yards away and never ever interested in a battle or fighting for space

To be fair Mbengue is looking pretty handy at storming forward to the oppo box

Ale Faurlin. For me the perfect example

Proper tackle on him, brilliant in the air, always looking forward, some superb goals, never stopped running.

Those injuries really ended a great player

Norrington-Davis thoughts?

Thought he was alright, but IMO we now have three left-backs and none of them are better than Paal who we showed the door for nothing.

If we sell Chair and Field and keep the rest of this squad we're getting relegated with many games to spare

Coventry City 7 Queens Park Rangers 1 – Report
at 18:23 25 Aug 2025

Chin up NorthernR, it’s always darkest before dawn. Sorry to hear

I deleted my Twitter account a year ago despite it being part of my working life and it was the best thing I’ve done in a while, it meant missing out on a few things but that place had become genuinely dark and sinister. From a place I enjoyed connecting with like minded souls 15 years ago to today’s cesspit of propaganda and anger and cowardly anonymous nerds with genuine issues.

If it’s an option I’d bin it off, you don’t need it. Stick with the 2003 tech on here 😉

What went so wrong today?
at 19:16 23 Aug 2025

Most times we had the ball we gave it away.

If there was a 50/50 we lost it.

Every goal kick we created a panic at the back and hoofed it/lost it.

Our “midfield” was wide open at all times and straightforward to bypass with simple passes forward

It's only August and Julien is already being sent to Coventry - Match Thread

Still fuming as Rangers manage to ruin another weekend. bailed on 40 mins on the stream like a lot of people I imagine, but fk me that second goal.

Summed up the slow, casual, careless approach to the game dominated by Coventry swarming all over our goal kicks rubbing their hands.

I refuse to believe we’d be worse off hoofing every single goal kick to Dunne, that’s what one of the defenders ends up doing anyway

Fk me.

This is plumbing new depths, even for us

Our ball retention is woeful. So casual and half arsed and slow to everything

If it wasn’t for Chair we would have been relegated a while ago - the man has single handedly dragged this club through several messes

He also put in the kind of yards and effort against Watford that most of the team need to learn from

Let’s keep respect where it’s due

Worst case scenario is

67.5 minus 19 = 48.5
15pc of that = 7.275

It’s all gravy

Loved Pav - I once bumped into him and his missus in David Lloyd gym in Acton and he was genuinely touched that I recognised him. His English wasn’t the best but we had a pint together and he was a top bloke

That Fulham goal away always sticks in the memory

Would this make him our second AND fourth record transfer fee? That’s pretty cool if so

Fks sake.

This is why you never go near this stuff.

Would much rather Eze at Arsenal, feels like the right club for him.

COULD SOMEONE JUST BUY HIM AND WE CAN CLOSE THIS THREAD

Just back - Watford reflections

Watford had three or four African players who were absolute beasts, proper units.

Dembele looked like he was a kid playing with his uncles
