That rules him out then. I would be happy for another Marti type appointment avoiding anyone from the managerial merry-go-round. |

I struggle to think of many games that I have ever wanted to avoid more than this one! I was going to say meaningless but of course it isn't when it comes to final league position. |

It's not all negative we have Taylor Richards to come back. This floored me, lol. But as you stop laughing you begin to wonder how on earth the club sanctioned such a deal. Then you think about Madsen. Other clubs looked at him and rejected him for being lightweight. You try to be pragmatic, consider our financial situation and think ok, we took a punt on him. But the thing is we didn't take a punt on Madsen we made him our Marquee Signing! Paid way over the top for him with a lengthy contract. Talk about eggs and baskets. To answer your question, do I have faith in those that negotiated the deals for Taylor Richards, Nicolas Madsen with a sprinkling of Hevertton Santos to recruit well in the summer? Er. No. |

My mind is ok. Disappointed that Marti left but it's not a Sexton or Venables moment. Most likely it's best for Marti that he leaves now with his reputation intact. The club has been a mess since Paladini walked through the door, Fernandes just took it to a much higher level. |

What is the PR company doing other than create fake social media accounts posting pro Nourry messages? |

The PR consultant isn’t doing a great job! I don’t think we looked a good proposition before the Marti fiasco but most managers don’t seem to care especially those on the managerial merry-go-round. |

We used to bring back a tomato from Greece and plant the seeds. Brought back the head of a daisy type flower once which produced a wonderful array of colours. |

How is Marti getting along with you? Did he start with a solid back four, yams, potatoes, sweet potatoes and swede? [Post edited 1 May 3:47]

Sad to see Marti go and would have been happy to see him around next season. But I have to ask myself why. Is it more to do with the fact that he is a really nice guy rather than his achievements at our football club? Right now, I honestly don't know. This season has been nuts. Started awfully, bottom of the table and then we recovered big time. Why? Again, I don't know. My guess would be that we started the season attempting to play the style of football that Nourry wants us to play and then we changed. But then we crashed again and limped to safety. Why? Towards the end of the season Marti was getting his second string to play better than his first string. You could argue that Ronnie Edwards contributed as much as Marti to ensuring our safety. Although happy for Marti to stay I wasn't expecting much next season but that would also be because of our poor squad, not having the cash to recruit known good players and of course our CEO/DOF. I think the most important thing we have to realise is that with or without Marti we are still a basket case of a club. Who will Marti’s replacement be? Will we be looking to recruit another Head Coach who has little involvement with player recruitment and is told by our CEO/DOF what style of football to play? Good luck with that Christian. And if he refused to sign autographs and pose for selfies he would still get criticised. Burnley played very well yesterday looking every bit the team sitting in the top position. Of course we made it easy for them but we were probably on that beach, that everyone talks about on here, after a physically and emotionally draining roller coaster season. I am already dreading next season! 22 points separates Cardiff in 24th, last, place and Coventry in 6th place. But then 28 points separates Coventry from second placed Leeds. The gap between 6th and 2nd should be larger but Sheffield United have lost 4 of their last 6. If relegated Southampton, Ipswich and Leicester are more Burnley than Luton next season, promoted money bags Birmingham and Wrexham continue their momentum it's going to be tough. Lots of talk recently about The Premier League becoming a 17-club division if the 3 promoted sides get relegated each season because they cannot financially compete, The Championship is heading in the same direction with money doing all the talking. Still happy to stick with Marti. Towards the end of this season he got his second string playing better than his first string at the beginning of the season. |

If I was a neutral I would be enjoying this game. Being outplayed you just have to accept sometimes. Being outfought is never acceptable. |

I sincerely hope so! Can you put any more meat on the bone Markofthegrove? |
