Disagree with you on disagreeing. It was an exciting game with plenty of goalmouth action. Red card was harsh. Loved all the effort, especially Frey. Hair-transplant Rodon won't face many more physical challenges than that. Thought Fox had an outstanding game. |

Got absolutely mullered /Mullinsed today. Irish won every race. Should have stopped when my first bet was pipped on the post by a Mullins 100/1. Hope they do something about the number of horses a trainer can run in a race -he had 11 in the first race. Pleased he got stuffed in the gold cup - shouldn't be that way but it is getting boring. Like watching Man City every week. Looking forward to going to LR tomorrow for a welcome break from racing - probably get mullered again though. Onwards to Ascot! |

Well done for getting 40/1. I’m going to hunt round to see if I can get the same - currently 33/1. Good luck 👍 |

He’s just not a Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool type player - all about pressing. Look what they did to Grealish. Chelsea already have a zillion players. I can only see him going to Spurs or Man U - he would be a stand out in these teams. Have a feeling Amarin will be looking mainly at Spanish / Portuguese players. My money’s on Spurs |

Don’t fancy too much today but…. 2:00 Valgrand 15/2 - this is an all or nothing, if it gets into a rhythm out front can easily win this. First time out was superb but a couple of poor runs since - typical Skelton’s prep for Cheltenham 2:40 Brides Hill 9/2 - will be up there Gold Cup - The Real Whacker 28/1 e/w - great place chance - 4th in King George - think it will front run - apart from favourite, this is as poor a gold cup turn out as I’ve seen for years Good luck everyone - can’t believe it’s over for another year. |

Did you not get 4 places? Most bookies were paying out on 4 places. I had a tenner each way at 150/1 Paid out £310 |

The New Lion 5/2 in the first - Skelton’s best of the week. Comfort Zone 13/2 in the third - JP O’Brien loves a Cheltenham winner I have heard that Caballero Cliff is a very nice horse in the closing bumper 100/1 🥴 Might be worth a very small e/w bet if you can get 5 places |
 | Forum Thread | Time wasting at 08:38 9 Mar 2025
Time wasting has reached new low levels. Absolutely spoiling football for me. Goalkeeper needing new studs on his boot - really!!!! He then takes 5 minutes putting his new boot on, tying his laces like a 4 year old and then trying to put his gloves on. Surprised his mum didn’t come out to do it for him. He was later booked for time wasting taking a free kick only to take just as long after he was booked. Ref was a soft touch. |

Looks like Superman (Christopher Reeves) and beginning to play like him. Also reminds me of Terry Fenwick the way he brings the ball out of defence. TF one of our greatest defensive players who could easily play Center back, midfield or right back. Pure class |

Good luck to him whatever he decides. He’s always been a 100% player and has improved beyond recognition this season. I think most forwards in the championship would hate to play against him. |

Useless referee and completely one-sided. How Connelly wasn’t booked for his assault on Smyth. 1. It was Rs throw 2. He grabbed Smyth by the collar and threw him to the floor 3. He kicked the ball at him as he was on the ground Gave them licence to do what they wanted after that. One of the worst performances by a ref I have seen in years |

Wish it was as cut and dried as that. Of course the referee is influenced if a player keeps going to ground too easily. Refs can't see everything from every angle and are going to make some incorrect judgements but I still don't recall the game getting out of control. I don't recall any "not fit to referee" chanting but maybe I had my hearing aid switched off. |
 | Forum Reply | Chair - positional change at 12:26 28 Jan 2025
I think Rangers are a better team with Chair on the left. It gives an easy outlet for Field which stops the ball going backwards. It makes Paal play better as Chair usually holds on to the ball. The balance of the team is better. The current scenario of Chair starting and Saito replacing him after 70 mins seems to work well. I worry that when Dembele is fit it will change the balance. We might start losing the ball in midfield too much which will put us on the back foot |

I am sorry but I just don't agree with you. The dark arts of throwing yourself to the floor, time wasting, faking injury, keeper going down to have a tactical chat etc. etc. were just not that prevelent in the game v Sheff W. As much as I like Smyth as a player, it is usually 50/50 as to whether he is actually fouled or he throws himself to the ground. It makes it difficult for the referee to book the players when 3 times before he has dived. I suspect, but am only guessing, that most of the bookings that you believe should have been given to Sheff W were for fouls on Smyth. I hate all these tactics at attempting to con referees. Sadly we do it just like most other teams. I am just trying to make the point that the refereeing of this match was no better or worse than other matches and there was no need to call out the ref in this instance. I apologise for saying that you were blaming the ref for losing. You clearly weren't |
 | Forum Reply | Marti's remarks on the ref at 15:12 27 Jan 2025
No, I was watching the same game. Dont recall any major blunders by the ref that had any material affect on the game. I also don't recall any Preston / Pearson style time wasting that he failed to act upon. All refs make mistakes but that ref was definitely far from the worst. I guess you need someone to blame for losing |
 | Forum Reply | Marti's remarks on the ref at 16:07 26 Jan 2025
Can’t see the reason for this post. No contentious issues yesterday - ref was ok except for getting conned a couple of times (usually by Smyth). No nasty tackles, no outrageous time wasting. Sheffield W we’re just that little bit stronger physically and tactics-wise on the day. |
