 | News Comment | Why Johannes Spors Went For Will Still Over Danny Rohl at 07:37:23
I think people sometimes forget that managers — just like players and fans — are human beings. It’s easy to look at names, odds, and rumours, but the reality behind big decisions like this is often far more nuanced. From what I understand, and I’ve heard this from a very reliable source, Rohl simply didn’t interview well. It’s not a slight on his coaching ability or reputation — but when it came down to it, he didn’t present the clarity, vision, or presence that the club was looking for. In contrast, Will Still impressed on a deeper level. He communicated a clear strategy, understood the club’s direction, and showed a genuine hunger to be part of the project here. At the end of the day, we need someone who wants to be at Southampton, who gets what we’re about, and who has the leadership qualities to carry that forward. Will Still has shown that, and now more than ever, we need to back him. No one succeeds alone — not in football — and the support of the fans can make a massive difference. Let’s rally behind him and give this new chapter the best possible start. |
 | News Comment | Southampton Linked With Ex Danish National Team Manager at 10:04:32
When are fans going to wake up. Mangers like Potter don’t want to take a job like this on. We are bottom of the league nine points adrift. He is never going to take this job. He has turned down other jobs to more secure teams so he won’t ever take the Saints job. I don’t think it’s a case of SR wont pay for the right person, it’s more about the candidate actually wanting to take this role on. Most won’t want it. Why would you want relegation on your CV! We just have to hope they will get the best person for the job available to them that wants to be here! |
 | News Comment | James Ward Prowse Appears To Have Snubbed A Return ToSouthampton at 15:20:38
This is absolute rubbish. The problem with sports journalism today is any numpty with a computer and internet access can write a story and websites like news now spread those stories. We were never in for JWP. We actually have better midfielders than him in the squad. I read the story that said he rejected us. It was written by some spotty teenager (forest fan) 😂 We just need to get corn 🌽 hole over the line and if we can get that striker in we will have had one of our best ever windows. COYR!!! |
 | News Comment | James Ward Prowse To Be Allowed To Leave West Ham United at 15:11:15
No thanks, for me in the prem season we went down I don’t think he did his job as captain well enough. The young players we signed that season needed someone like Prowse the captain to lead and help them but for me he didn’t do that. I was probably one of the only supporters saying we need to sell him. For me we have a better player now in Flynn Downes. So let’s forget Prowse and move onto a keeper that can fit in to the way we play. |
 | News Comment | Southampton About To Break The Bank For Greek Forward at 09:56:26
Totally agree with everyone here. O'Riley needs to be our priority if we are spending 25 million on a player, and I would say keep Tall Paul, he would probably be very successful with O'Riley feeding him. Then Ramsdale on loan would be equally important! |
 | News Comment | Southampton Linked With Third Deadline Day Striker at 11:34:44
Vitinha has already agreed to go to Marseille. Its not looking good for a striker i'm afraid guys. Dembele wont join us and Unless Genk suddenly have a change of heart Onuachu. is looking unlikely. We have left things to late again. We have needed a striker since Danny Ings. For me the club has failed. If we get the players we want by 11 tonight then fair play but we are playing a dangerous game leaving it so late! |
 | News Comment | Saints Rumoured To Have Agreed Two Deadline Day Deals at 20:07:09
Dembele will not sign for us being bottom of the league and at 3 miliiin there will literally be loads of clubs in for him. Would love to see him in a saints shirt but unfortunately it won’t happen |
 | News Comment | Striker Said To Be Close To Southampton Transfer at 17:24:20
@winchestersaint if you look up before lunchtime today it was commented already that ings signed for West game. Silly boy though as I see the manager getting the sack after the weekend and then he will be back in the same position he was at Villa LOL |
 | News Comment | £12 Million Bid Lodged For Danny Ings at 11:51:22
Keesie66: Why would Memphis Depay join Southampton, that is laughable. Memphis Depay's current annual salary is close to €10.4 million gross / € 5 million net. Taking this into account, the Dutch winger would earn about €866,000 per month or €200,000 a week. |
 | News Comment | Striker Said To Be Close To Southampton Transfer at 11:25:12
I'm obviuosy missing somthing, Jackson is NOT a striker. Why are people calling him a striker? He plays from deep and runs with the ball, he is direct, he is an atacking midfielder NOT a striker so I dont understand why "The Ugly Inside" headlines with "Striker said to be close...?? |
 | News Comment | £12 Million Bid Lodged For Danny Ings at 11:18:20
I would take Ings back in a heart beat but I suspect he has already agreed personal terms. I actually think he is making a huge mistake going to West Ham. At his age he needs to play evry single game and at Southampton he would get that. Such a shame as with all the other additions we are making to the squad he would be the cherry on the cake. I bet West Ham are payng him a fortune above the 120'000 a week he is currently on at Villa. He is probably looking at getting in as much money as he can before he hangs up his boots. Sad really but if he doesnt want to be with us then middle finger emoji insert here :) and saints will find an equally as good if not better player to fill the roll. COYR!! |
