Everton Game Tickets

The 12pm kick off is a shocker for Saints fans, I’m making a few days of it, but you lot will have to set off at silly o’clock just for the TV. The pubs will be open at 9am though which is good.

I don’t understand why Saints have taken the full allocation. I can only think of one occasion when they have sold out all three tiers (when Saints were under Hughes towards the end of the season). Hopefully they will sell the paddock and the lower bullens first and send the rest back.

It’s confirmed as a 12 noon kick off. If any of you can’t go, please let me know. I’ve got a season ticket but my nephew hasn’t. He’s been to 18 home games but not guaranteed to get one.

The club of Embarrassment
at 12:15 16 Apr 2025

Regardless of Saints have done this season, you should thank whoever made you into supporting them and not choosing to be a glory seeking ‘fan’ of a club that you have no connection to.

And it’s embarrassment you want, look at the state of this…….

Wasn’t the idea of an extra place pushed through by the neural UEFA fella David Gill, ex of Man United. Watch out for a last minute change at the end of the season when the club that finishes 13th go straight into the CL.

It will be dead exciting for Sky.

It's Frank Lampard, is the inside talk
at 17:55 8 Apr 2025

I honestly don’t know. I like Dyche, and once the dust settles on the shite that Everton have been through, he would be held in high esteem for the incredible job he did last season especially and the season before. He looked goosed towards the end at Everton, had ran out of ideas and his ways just weren’t working.

For a clean slate, positive fresh start with young players with a point to prove, I’d probably go for Lampard over Dyche. He did very well at Derby in his first job, almost getting them promoted, has done brilliant at Coventry so far and has the scars and experience, plus gained respect, from two tough, one near impossible, jobs in the Premiership.

He came into a hostile, totally toxic environment after Benitez alienated the fans and the players.

He did brilliant in uniting the fans, kept them up against all the odds because they really were abysmal, both on and off the field. The following season was 10 times worse off the field, with no owners and no one in charge. They had to sell their best player, Richarlison and then had Gordon acting the rat (this was before he was challenged outside the ground). He was utterly wrecked by the time he was sacked and it was the right decision for him to go and be replaced by Dyche.

He is held in good esteem by Evertonians, he took on a poisoned chalice that got a lot worse due to thongs completely out of his control. But he did it all with dignity and pride and never hid. He also took the Chelsea job on twice in difficult circumstances so it’s not as though he’s not scared of a challenge or going for an easy ride.

I think he’d be a very good bet for Saints.

Rumours doing the rounds that he could be performing at the last game at Goodison.

No doubt the Saints banter brigade would regale him with “you’re just a shit Craig David”.

Didn’t Saints play at the last game at Maine Road with Doves playing?

All 3 Promoted Teams Relegated By Massive Margin
at 09:08 6 Apr 2025

It can clearly be done as shown by those clubs, if it’s done properly and ruthlessly. This year Ipswich have played a load of players that were in league one two years ago. They’ve got a great signing in Delap, but then bought two Centre halves from the championship who really are at that level. They’ve then got Kalvin Phillips on loan straight on the back of a proper red flag cameo at West Ham, paying 10 million loan fee plus all of his wages.

Thankfully Everton have been able to have a massive overhaul at the club, financial crisis, points deductions, bloated squad etc at a time when the promoted teams have been awful.

Womans Game At St Mary's

It does but so does Scottish football, always live games on, gets loads of coverage on SSN. And it’s absolutely shite and the crowds there are pitiful.

Womans Game At St Mary's

It’s definitely growing and is great to see. Big crowds at Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle over the weekend. I’m hoping that Everton’s third test game will be a WSL game after they’ve had the Under 18’s and the Under 21’s.

Well it looks like being a brief spell in the Premiership
at 09:02 18 Mar 2025

Does it have to be a massive gap or do the teams coming up need to be a bit ruthless? The three teams expected to come up all have managers who have previously bombed in the premier league. Saints should have thanked Martin last May and brought in a manager with more experience.

It can be done, look at Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham. All good PL teams who were in the championship not so long ago, but all of them had a proper strategy, had decent recruitment and good managers.

Rinse and repeat failure, Henderson and Rashford in the England squad again.

Seeing Henderson get into the squad is laughable especially when you compare him to Morgan Gibbs White. Shocking stuff.

We will see how much they love it in the summer when Iriola leaves for Spurs and Gibbs-White joins City. Fair do’s they have done great, as have Villa but the snaky six will find a way of halting their development. Just look at the restrictions Villa have had with PSR this season.

This season
at 08:24 10 Mar 2025

I was in Liverpool on Saturday for the first time in ages when the shite were playing. Getting the local Merseyrail train on the way into town, I didn’t see a single Liverpool fan. Getting off at Lime Street and there they were, thousands of them, replica’d up, half and half scarves, selfie sticks at the ready with more accents than a trip to Disneyland. My cousin is a red and he says that the club allow them to take ruck sacks in with them, provided they are bought from the club shop.

They couldn’t be further away from the culture of fan base of their roots. They even had stewards in hi-vis jackets in town telling their own fans how to get to the ground.

The premier league is choreographed and soulless, designed and marketed for these tourists not for the working class people who used live and breath the club, its a television programme now.

The sooner they have their super league Netflix series and piss off, the better.

Who Is Up To Liverpool

BMD will be a twenty minute walk into town and a whole host of bars. It’s not that far from town at all, I’d say the walk from Southampton central to SMS is about the same.
