Watching the crowds outside The Bell Hotel the other day celebrating and singing Ingerland when the high court decision came through, it was all a bit sad. How does it improve their day to day life? It’s a bit odd that we have loads of approved premises across the UK, many of them near schools and slap back in the middle of residential areas and similar half way houses, all full of people who have been actually convicted for murder, sex offences, you name it. Don’t recall crowds gathering to protest about them and waving their flags about. I wonder why that is? |

I’d throw Wolves in the mix too. Lost their two best players, hampered by PSR. They were all over the show against City the other day. The irony being that they have had to sell all of their good players due to FFP to City, Chelsea and United for whom the rules don’t apply. |

I’m not sure that 2 of the 3 promoted teams are good. Everton were crap the other night, but Leeds barely had a shot on call when they were at full pelt. I still think they are shite and will struggle this season. One swallow and all that. |
 | Forum Reply | UK inflation increasing is partly Oasis’ fault at 13:13 20 Aug 2025
I was on a government training course last week regarding the changes to procurement for government contracts. They said £385 billion worth of contracts are tendered each year in the UK. How many of them are non British companies and how much gets creamed off and never gets pumped into the UK company. I honestly don’t know, but do know they the sector that I work in, most of those that win contracts are based abroad, including the company I work for. |
 | Forum Reply | More VAR controversy at 12:22 19 Aug 2025
A few weeks ago I was watching the charity shield with my nieces husband. McAllister clearly handles the ball in his area preventing it from going the Palace player. As clear a penalty as you could ever wish to see. Nieces husband straight away said it wasn’t and cited some bullshit new rule that I’d never heard of and didn’t make any sense. The penalty wasn’t given. In short, I don’t think anyone has a bloody clue what the rules are when it comes to VAR, least of all the officials who are so inconsistent bordering on incompetent. |

I’m clearly not a fan of the RS, but one knobhead acting the racist bellend doesn’t represent 50k plus people in a crowd. It happened, it was disgusting and they threw him out. Nothing more to it. If the whole crowd was doing it and people tried to defend it, that’s a different story. But that’s not the case. |
 | Forum Reply | Return To Southampton First Team Squad Down To Dibling Says Still at 15:48 14 Aug 2025
Saints are perfectly entitled to ask whatever fee they want for Dibling but I don’t know where they get that valuation from. It looks like it’s only Everton who are willing to go up to their original valuation and then Saints wanted more. Spurs are in for Eze, an FA Cup winner who is an international and has played at the last Euros. It will be interesting to see how much Eze is valued at in comparison to Dibling this summer. |

Had it been during the season I would expect there to be a minute silence at the first game following the death. Seems fair enough to do it on the first weekend, showing respect to a player who died far too young. |
 | Forum Reply | Grealish to Everton means Dibling stays? at 13:20 11 Aug 2025
Dibling and Saints would have to have an incredible season for his current value (from Saints) to be maintained. That sort of money isn’t demanded for a championship player. |
 | Forum Reply | Grealish to Everton means Dibling stays? at 11:53 11 Aug 2025
Even without Grealish, Dibling wouldn’t be guaranteed a starting place. Ndiaye, Alcarez and McNeill would start before him at the minute. |
 | Forum Reply | Grealish to Everton means Dibling stays? at 10:41 11 Aug 2025
They were in for both of them last week, so I don’t think it changes anything, Dibling wise. Everton want another six players before the window closes apparently. |
 | Forum Reply | Liverpool fans at 22:19 10 Aug 2025
The irony being that most of their supporters come from nowhere near the city of Liverpool and haven’t a clue about the city, the poverty, the challenges etc. They do not represent the city at all despite what they think. |

Asylum seekers get £8 per week for personal subsistence such as travel, personal stuff e.g soap, shampoo etc. They also have no recourse to any ESOL classes until six months after their application is made. I’ve been working in this sector for the past twenty five years. The amount of nonsense that gets puts out the papers and social media has got significantly worse. I’ve spent nine months in the past year in a hotel in the south east. It was (probably still is) a Holiday Inn. All of the remnants of the hotel that it previously was have been stripped off. No gym, no nice reception. Food is brought in by a private company three times a day and is a free for all. Think of an indoor soup kitchen and you’d be right. There are security firm staff everywhere. I’ve honestly worked in more welcoming and supportive prisons. The one thing that stuck out for me is the eye watering amounts of money that is given to these companies and the disgusting lack of value for money that it represents. There has to be a review of this as it’s staggering. |

Most of them will hand their papers to the scumbags traffickers who they pay to bring them to the UK. Although trying to get hold of papers in countries such as Syria, Afghanistan and Sudan with no existing or dysfunctional governments is also very difficult. |
 | Forum Reply | Saints standing their ground over Dibling at 11:54 5 Aug 2025
The fee being quoted is far too high, for all the reasons in Nick’s post. However what I am finding odd is the back and forth that is being played out in the media. I can’t see this coming from either club leaking it to the press. It surely comes from the agents who don’t give two hoots about the player but want their greedy cut. Is there an easier more lucrative job than being a football agent. |

Greenwood is such a liability on the ball, any opposition manager should target her. It’s like watching Harwood Bellis last season. As for James, she’s a very good player at this level but she is coming across as being quite arrogant and think she’s a world beater. |
 | Forum Reply | England's Semi Final at 16:29 22 Jul 2025
Will be watching it, more than likely with the sound down. But that’s the same with most of the England games, either men or women. |

I’m going to see them at Wembley in September, looking forward to seeing them, Cast and Richard Ashcroft for the whole event. I’ve seen Oasis before and it’s a good day/night out. But as you’ve said further down, they are extremely limited, past the second album they are very bland and samey and them claiming to be the best bad going is laughable. They aren’t in the same league as the likes of Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Blur and as others have said, Pulp come back with a cracking new album. My FB is currently awash with loads of family and friends off to Heaton Park tonight and tomorrow who I had no idea liked Oasis, it’s just an excuse to go out and have the craic and fair do’s. |
