Womans Game At St Mary's

It does but so does Scottish football, always live games on, gets loads of coverage on SSN. And it’s absolutely shite and the crowds there are pitiful.

Womans Game At St Mary's

It’s definitely growing and is great to see. Big crowds at Spurs, Arsenal and Newcastle over the weekend. I’m hoping that Everton’s third test game will be a WSL game after they’ve had the Under 18’s and the Under 21’s.

Well it looks like being a brief spell in the Premiership

Does it have to be a massive gap or do the teams coming up need to be a bit ruthless? The three teams expected to come up all have managers who have previously bombed in the premier league. Saints should have thanked Martin last May and brought in a manager with more experience.

It can be done, look at Brentford, Bournemouth, Brighton and Fulham. All good PL teams who were in the championship not so long ago, but all of them had a proper strategy, had decent recruitment and good managers.

Rinse and repeat failure, Henderson and Rashford in the England squad again.

Seeing Henderson get into the squad is laughable especially when you compare him to Morgan Gibbs White. Shocking stuff.

We will see how much they love it in the summer when Iriola leaves for Spurs and Gibbs-White joins City. Fair do’s they have done great, as have Villa but the snaky six will find a way of halting their development. Just look at the restrictions Villa have had with PSR this season.

I was in Liverpool on Saturday for the first time in ages when the shite were playing. Getting the local Merseyrail train on the way into town, I didn’t see a single Liverpool fan. Getting off at Lime Street and there they were, thousands of them, replica’d up, half and half scarves, selfie sticks at the ready with more accents than a trip to Disneyland. My cousin is a red and he says that the club allow them to take ruck sacks in with them, provided they are bought from the club shop.

They couldn’t be further away from the culture of fan base of their roots. They even had stewards in hi-vis jackets in town telling their own fans how to get to the ground.

The premier league is choreographed and soulless, designed and marketed for these tourists not for the working class people who used live and breath the club, its a television programme now.

The sooner they have their super league Netflix series and piss off, the better.

Who Is Up To Liverpool

BMD will be a twenty minute walk into town and a whole host of bars. It’s not that far from town at all, I’d say the walk from Southampton central to SMS is about the same.

Their ground resembles an Adult Disneyland, tens of thousands of tourists descending on the city every fortnight.

I hardly ever drink in town these days, but if I do it’s a little crawl around the bottom end of town and then Oxford Street. Start at the Welly, then the Wool House, Platform, Grapes and finish off in The London before going home early evening before all the balloons arrive.

Nickname For Bournemouth Fans

I have a family member from Wareham who for the past 6-7 years switches allegiances between United and Bournemouth depending on how they are doing. He’s much Bournemouth at the moment.

Fair dos to them though, they are doing incredibly well.

Lampard did well in his first season at Everton and deserved credit for galvanizing a fan base that had completely turned against the club. There’s far too situation got far worse though, none of his doing really and he wasn’t experienced enough to turn the tide. I doubt many managers other than Dyche or Moyes could have done though.

Who Killed The Magic Of The FA Cup for Southampton
at 19:06 6 Feb 2025

I’ve got a mate who’s never set foot in Anfield but claims to be a massive red. He wants there to be a Super League but with them also being allowed to continue in the Premier League whilst binning off the EFL cup. This is common amongst their followers.

They really are welcome to each other, bin them off, get a normal tv deal and let proper fans enjoy a better playing field. Leave the Adult Disneyland Shite to the slimy six.

The snaky six and their odious managers constantly cry arsing about fixture congestion but turning a blind eye to the extra games of the champions league. The media and the FA pandering to their bleating and turning the game into a cartel.

The last straw being the scrapping of replays, a huge incentive for the lowers teams to get a big pay day. Binned off because Klopp and Pep asked them to.

The fact that the final has been moved to a week before the season ends to support these coonts in possible CL finals is also a disgrace.

It’s shameful but rarely gets called out by the sycophants in the media.

It’s nuts how they have gone about spending with these charges hanging over them. They clearly don’t give a toss. Chelsea are worse though, selling hotels and their women’s team to fit in with PSR without any scrutiny.

Football, at the top, is shit, bent and gone for the vast majority of match going fans. I’m not sure how many year longer I will keep my season ticket and find better things to do with my money and time.

Dibbling on his way to Spurs ?
at 13:51 28 Jan 2025

Haha, very true. They were in the running for Gibbs White and baulked at the price. He’s worth twice what Forest paid for him.

Hopefully the new Everton will be more sensible than the old Everton!

This is exactly the sort of signing Everton should be making, meeting whatever Saints value him at.

I know you will all think, quite rightly, why would he go to a relegation rival, basket case of a club etc, but with new owners, new ground, PSR problems in the past and more revenue, hopefully this will be in the past and there will be a brighter future. Signing top potential players should be part of the plan.

Forest did it with Morgan Gibbs White and built a team around him. They paid top whack when they were certain a for the drop and it paid off.

I appreciate it’s unlikely like.
