As things stood, we were never likely to get that kind of money for him ever again.
Think he was with us four seasons. In the two seasons he was in our squad he never once looked a player, I don’t think he’d ever fit our preferred system. In the two seasons at Orient, he’s seen a promotion and a play off final.
Some teams set up around a centre forward, we set up despite a centre forward.
Take the money and try to correct ourselves with it. As I’ve mentioned before, we could make Haaland look like a donkey. The thinking needs to change. [Post edited 27 Jul 7:54]

It’s appalling. Not as if it was unexpected given the history of the infamous four.
Last season, the run of 15 consecutive winter games or thereabouts against none of the top six saved our bacon. We seem to be starting this season with a similar run and the manager can’t even get a pre season side on the field. |

Don’t understand our direction.
Carlton Morris is an established player at this level and would have cost £500k less than this fella. Granted he’d be a bigger wage but that £500k saved would surely cover the wage excess for at least a year. Think there’s only a year or two between them and that’s assuming this fellas birth certificate is an original.

All it needs for Madsen to shine is for the opposition to stand off him for the duration of 46 games, give him all the space he desires for the full 90 minutes and we’ll have a player on our hands.
Unfortunately, having just perused the Championship league table for a number of seconds, I’m not entirely convinced that will happen. |

Any bloke who knocks his Mrs about doesn’t get my sympathy.
Also had the misfortune to watch his hostile reaction to Paul Parker, having putting gazza in his pocket for best part of 80 minutes, it did strike me it wasn’t just getting outplayed that got up his nose.

He got into a habit of standing off too much, something he didn’t suffer from when he arrived here.
Think that interminable massive hole in front of him last season took its toll.
He’ll do ok in Turkey. |
