If all we are going to ask of our strikers is to hold the ball up, then we can play someone different in that role. He rarely touches to ball in the final 3rd, and is never on the end of any cross. His runs seem to be an effort to find someone to cover him not get open. He is a zero scoring threat, which we saw today. This team relies on the mids to score.
If all we want is someone to play holdup play, then I would suggest putting Cook or someone in that role. At least he could also play some defence too |

Yes he held up two passes, that is part of the job. The rest of his job is to be an attacking threat in the box. How many crosses went in with Celar no where to be found? Has he gotten his foot or head on anything in the attacking 3rd? Even the commentators were saying someone needs to be there. It is like we don't have a 9 out there, it is all Chair/Dembele/Poku. If all he is going to do is hold up 2 passes then put Field in the spot and add another defender |

I want to see what we look like with Kolli or Burrell out there. We know Celar does nothing. If we could get a little attacking from our 9 we would look a lot better |

Fairly good half. Defending is improving, Chair/Dembele/Poku look good.

Southampton could have had 4 or 5 goals, completely outplayed them in the last 30 minutes or so |

Kolli is in the training gallery. If he can train fully I'm starting him, and bringing in Burrell at 60-65 minutes. More pace and movement upfront |

I get the sense the new manager has been trying a lot of different positions and combinations. This is fine because he is new to the players and needs to figure things out for himself, but also means we will likely start very slowly. |

Thought the 2nd half was much better, still toothless on the attack, but better. We absolutely need Frey/Kolli/Burrell out there.
