100%. Agree. I undertand the response from others will be that he contributes much more off field. Then if this is the case then give him some coaching role. Not sure why it might be justified his position. This might sound a bit controversial, but if a person was hired to do a job and he fails at that. But is a good motivator, while on breaks or whatever, does that justify keeping the person in his job? Maybe move them into a role that he can use his strengths. |

Fair play if he contributes off field, but on the wages he is on, are we pretty much concluding that the club might justify his wages to some extent due to his off field contribution? If we take him as a player and what he contributes as an individual on field, he needs to move on and doesn't fit where we are going. I just can't bring myself to say keep Fulton. So I'm presuming based on that, it's the role dice with Yates and Fulton. They do well this season then it benefits us all, but it's a risk. If they fail, then we lose them both, and take the hit with losing money. That's a hell of a gamble even if not many clubs will come in for them, and pay the wages they are on. Does the club at least get something for them now even if that's a small amount or lose altogether? [Post edited 6 Jul 22:59]

My old eyes 🤣🤣🤣 joking aside seems this signing has some potential. Made 1 senior appearance for Man Utd and has a good assist and goal return. Read some where that some fans say his only negative could be he is bit lightweight. But by far their best player. Not sure how much truth in this. |

Yates, Fisher, Cooper, Fulton would do for me with selling. Sent few fringe players on loan. [Post edited 2 Jul 22:58]

Didn't potter get his players at his previous club to do acting or theatre. I swear he tried to do something different with us. Going on a day trip on the dunes with the players or something. |

For me that's a good assessment of him. Getting in players way is a good shout. He does do that alot. No doubt he will being aggression but he won't be able to bring the energy that we are looking for. Fulton loves to slow play down. |

Not saying it's related but Russ did have a habit of throwing the club and players at times under the bus. Obefemi for me was a wasted talent. His attitude got the best of him. |

Though it's not as easy as this I would be doing everything possible to get him off the books. If he contributed on the pitch fair enough. But in my opinion he doesn't. He might be a good senior player in the background who knows? 60k a month though. That's another level nuts. Maybe we have to grit our teeth and see it out but I would rather get rid and find alternatives. Why the club was and have left itself in this position is questionable. Obviously because of bad decisions by predecessors. All I see in Fulton is a player who loves a good back pass, slows the game down and is the last of those players we need to move on from. You watch he will be pulling up trees on pre season and I'll be eating my own words. [Post edited 30 Jun 22:04]

Just remind me not to make enemies with you 😅😅. Piroe more like Agatha Christie's Poirot. Either Russ was unlucky with the type of players he had at his disposal with attitude issues or Russ had some part to play on it. I Never forget Obefemi storming off down the tunnel too. The Pattinson saga as crazy, as well. How could I forget about that madness. |

Like all of us we have 0 clue what Fulton preference is, but unless it's another championship club, is he really going to take a pay cut? I don't know why, but my gut tells me he is happy to sit it out. He has been happy enough for years with us being a back up option. Why change that now with 1 year left and money in the pocket. |

Have I got this wrong? Think I remember reading Piroe was a Cooper finding? I do remember Martin not being a fan of Piroe at the start and he was training on the beach. Did I dream all of that? 😅 |

Who made that decision to pay him 60k a month - they must of been in the sun too long. Realistically, who is going to take Fulton on that type of money? I can't see him leaving unless a loan is an option with possible payoff if that how it works? [Post edited 30 Jun 22:03]

Fair play to Fulton, he must be laughing all the way to the bank. If I was him I wouldn't be in no rush to move on and would see my contract out. Personally I think time is up for him. He brings very little to the squad on match day. 1 man of the match performance in years does not validate his worth. Sadly I fear he will will be with us this season. [Post edited 30 Jun 20:17]

Great post and really insightful as usual. Personally, and granted every team in the country and beyond would want this scenario, I would love to find a gem ala a Michu, Bony a Piro on far less wage. Yes that's one in a million. My only fear with McBurnie is, will he be the player we have seen in the past or a slight shadown of himself? At 29 and with his stats in theory he should on form. I would love to see Vipnotik step up, but I fear he will be a bench warmer this year. Realistically Yates goes and logically, a proven championship scorer and a favorite amongst the fans and a player who also love the club, having McBurnie back makes perfect sense. I think I have just debated and won over myself in one conversation 🤣 |
