"Why choose to support a team that loses a lot?"
at 22:29 27 May 2025

I used to be very against the European super league idea, but now I'd love it if all those bloated clubs left the Premier league and took all their global fans with them. Of course I know it wouldn't be like that and they'd still want to lord it over us domestically, but one can only dream.

Is it time to admit that Ultras are the way forward?

Yeah, and I'll be the first to admit that 50 skinny teens all dressed in black athleisure wear is a bit cringe.

Yep, that's a fair point. But doesn't mean we couldn't do something similar (but different).

Maybe. If it helps lift the atmosphere when we're losing to Norwich, then why not?

Hmm, not sure why not. I'd rather go to a game and chant for 90 minutes than just sit there passively. And maybe you need blokes with megaphones to make that happen.

Put your prejudices aside and answer this question honestly: who has the better atmosphere at home games, us or Palace?

But they're outsinging the citeh fans, who may as well not be there. And they're having a laugh.

I know lots of people think that the ultra culture is a bit foreign, a bit orchestrated and not very spontaneous.

But... watching Palace fans in the cup final, and at most home games, they create an atmosphere. Constantly.

We might have an amazing atmosphere at Loftus Road for some games, but let's be honest, it can be pretty dead sometimes. Especially when things aren't going well on the pitch.

So is it time to put our prejudices aside and accept that this is the way forward?

Ownership of QPR

Been convinced for a while now that it's all about the stadium and becoming big time property owners. Their plans haven't worked out and now they're in the last chance saloon, desperately hoping this consultation/ agreement with the council is gonna lead to something. Meantime the club just drifts and drifts because it's not what they're focused on.

All our terrible stats in one place

Lost more home games in the last 2 years than any other club.

Feels like a lot of us are reaching a tipping point and we have little or no faith in the way the club is being run. Just to prove we're not imagining it, I thought it would be useful to collate all of Rangers' crappy records into one thread.

I know we've lost more games at home in the last 2 calendar years than all the other clubs in the league, but I thought there's a few others out there. Record FA Cup 3rd round defeats comes to mind. However the internet isn't so useful for non Premier league searches so I wondered if any of you guys can remember?

Also, what is the long term direction? Feels like the board pinned all their financial hopes on getting a new stadium and becoming property developers. When that hasn't worked out, they've just allowed the club to drift.

New managers, new players and none of it seems to ever make much difference. We're still shit and it's only a matter of time before we go down again. Just wondering if any other supporters can see this changing, and if so, how?

I'm paraphrasing, but something along the lines of "the greatest injustice in play off history".

Earth to Don. If a team has a man advantage, and they can't score a goal in 30 minutes, that ain't injustice. It's just them being shit.

He's already been mentioned, but I'm going for Dominic Iorfa.

To this day, I'm still convinced he'd never played football before stepping onto Loftus Road. By the law of averages he must have found himself onside at least once, even if by accident. But no, never ever ever.
