Good natutred banter today i thought. Fair play to Kelman he was trying not to laugh when getting serenaded by the loft when he was in a defensive wall down that end.
As for if he is any good ?.. will be hard in that charlton team, do not have the quality to create much. Good reminder there is a so much drek in this league. [Post edited 30 Aug 21:24]

Of recently published books I have read would recommend James by Percival Everrett.
Loose retelling of the Huck Finn story through the eyes of Jim the Slave. Rattling good story and thought provoking in equal measure -Very much enjoyed it. |

Got a schooling from a Coventry team who are the opposite of everything we are. Fit, strong, top end championship players front to back - (What I would give for a Matt Grimes in our midfield)
unfortunately, i don't think it will be the last pumping if we stick with some of these. |

Way beyond my expectations of who we would get in up front. For all the issues and concerns , the club have done an amazing job getting him and Poku in .The infamous ‘project’ is attractive to these players it seems . Well done!!! |

I think there is a generational divide here. Have a ST with my son ( did not go tonight) and he is much more OK with a project than me! Could be I am just a Grumpy old git but you see the difference between younger crowd on twitter and here too.

Well, I think he has explained it in his own way!! But it is to be a development club and being the best at bringing through young players. Selling them on and repeating that every season ( as opposed to the once a decade Eze deal).
May not work as the champo is not an easy place to develop but if it does it is way to try and overcome our other issues ( ground and revenue) to get self sustaining and challenge at the top end. Lord knows we need to try something else we will end up going further down the pyramid… gonna be hard!

As for the game itself: a bit of both i think
If we are going to pitch ourselves to prospective top end youngsters as a club who is the right one to join over bigger clubs , where they get chances to play and progress ,we gotta walk the walk
But a few old heads in that line up , especially in the second half would have helped talk them through it which would have likely been a better experience for them.
100% an insult to those who paid all that to go though. That is very poor and in some way should be recompensed. [Post edited 12 Aug 23:14]

I’d stuff morgan and Madsen in and drop one of the front four.
Sadly the best/ only midfield three we have at the moment but a two in mids , in front if a make do defence would not be wise i think. |
