![]() Saturday, 28th Jul 2012 17:59 by TWTD.co.uk Town boss Paul Jewell says the Blues have heard nothing more from Aston Villa regarding left-back Aaron Cresswell. Villa’s chief executive Paul Faulkner contacted his Blues counterpart Simon Clegg regarding the 22-year-old's availability earlier in the week.
Jewell said: “The last time I spoke to you at Cambridge is the last news I’ve got to tell you. Nothing’s happened since then.
“We don’t encourage anything and until I’ve got something different to tell you, that’s the answer to that question.
“He spoke to Simon Clegg, as I told you on Wednesday, they made that enquiry and weren’t encouraged that Cressy was for sale.
“As I said to you the other night and as I said to Cressy, everyone has their price, but I don’t want this to become an issue because there’s no issue to be made. They made an enquiry, they haven’t followed it up as yet and if they do, I’ll let you know.” Story syndicated from TWTD.co.uk Photo: Action Images Please report offensive, libellous or inappropriate posts by using the links provided.
