Stick Your Coins In Your Christmas Pudding

Stick Your Coins In Your Pudding

Before you start reading this article, I feel it only fair to warn you that it is a rant and will remain a rant because I am angry at a few idiotic Swansea 'fans' who seem hell bent on ruining the good work that has been done at the club in the past few years and ensuring that we are hindered financially by the result of their actions.

I do stress as well that I use the term 'fan' in it's loosest sense and only use that term because at least they put some money into the club before losing all sense of reality, sense and most of all common decency as soon as they have parted with their cash (or is it their parents cash?) and entered the ground.

I honestly wonder how many times that the club have to point out the results of these actions before it hits home. I suspect that these people are so devoid of brains that it will never hit home at all. For the umpteenth time in recent history yesterday we saw a game interrupted because the linesman in front of the North Bank had been hit by a coin (or similar object) for no real apparent reason other than some dimwitted fool decided it would be funny for it to happen.

Because this was brought to the attention of the referee it means he will be mentioning it in his match report which in turn means that it will be placed to the attention of the fools that run the game in Wales - just days after people bemoaned their alleged bias against us. Like they need another excuse to fine us, some twats decide that they may as well give them one anyway.

We have an average attendance at the Vetch this season of 7,710 in the league and I suspect that I could count on the fingers of my and your hands how many of these people are hell bent on causing the club trouble. I would also suspect that the board of directors would prefer that average attendance to be 7,690 and rid the club of these fools. Of course, if someone is reading this to them I would also guess that they will spend the next four hours working out how many fingers are on two people's hands but that is another story!

The club have done this before and now it is time for this site to jump on the bandwagon. The stewards cannot possibly monitor the actions of every single person inside the ground but there are common fans out there who will see these objects being thrown. Don't take the law into your own hands but point these people out. The 99.9% of other decent fans will back you up and the club can rid themselves of these people who we do not need and we most definitely do not want. Point them out, get them thrown out, and let them receive the ban that will follow. It's a criminal offence as well to throw the objects onto the pitch and on that basis I'm sure that PC Plod will be more than happy to have a word as well.

Let's also remember that it won't just be any potential fine it will be the increased likelihood of less police free games meaning bigger bills for the club, less money available in player budgets and ultimately could lead to us missing out on promotion. All because a few dickheads cannot control the items that they have in their pocket and leave them there.

Football is a passionate game I understand that. I have watched it for 20 odd years and disagreed with many a decision but strangely I have never felt the need to throw anything at a match official or opposing player. I suspect I am preaching to the converted here but I don't imagine any of you have either.

The simple fact of this matter is that these people are not Swansea City fans and they do not help us in any way, shape or form. Let's all work together to rid the club of this evil and let the rest of us enjoy the football.

Marry Christmas to the 7,690 decent people that have turned up week in, week out.
