Referee Neil Hair takes charge of Dale’s League One game at Doncaster on Saturday.

The Peterborough-based official is in his second season on the National List and this will be the second time we have seen him at a Dale match.

His only previous Dale appointment was just before Christmas 2018, when Neil was in the middle for our 2-1 win at Southend.

Mr Hair’s first EFL appointment was Oldham v MK Dons in August 2018 and since then he has refereed entirely in the two basement divisions, as well as a number of games in all three cup competitions.

His games have tended to be controversy-free and Neil is certainly not one of those referees whose name keeps cropping-up in managers’ post-match comments.

This will be his 22nd game of this season, with the previous 21 yielding 67 yellow cards and three red.

His most recent match was Port Vale v Salford last Saturday while Mr Hair has already been to Doncaster once this term, overseeing their 2-2 home draw with Burton Albion in November.

It’s always interesting to learn about the officials who take charge of matches, and Mr. Hair seems to be a reliable and experienced referee. His appointment to the Dale game will mark the second time he’s officiated one of our matches https://nativesprings.com/the-rise-of-ai-powered-tools-such-as-chatgpt-deepseek- , the first being that 2-1 win at Southend back in 2018, just before Christmas.

Since his first EFL appointment in 2018, Mr. Hair has steadily built a solid reputation for himself, consistently refereeing in the two lower divisions and even covering several cup competitions. He’s one of those referees whose name isn’t constantly in the headlines for controversy, which is a good sign that he’s doing his job with little fuss.
