Joe Thompson 1989-2025
Friday, 18th Apr 2025 10:58 by Chaff

Devastating news has filtered through that former Dale player Joe Thompson has sadly lost his third battle with cancer.

Our sincerest condolences go out to Joe's wonderful family and friends at this time.

A truly inspirational man whose journey on and off the pitch has been legendary. The goal that kept Rochdale up and sent Oldham down on the same day, having returned to the team following his heroic battle with cancer for the second time was better than any Hollywood script but his constant positive attitude during these battles was remarkable.

Life can't half be incredibly unfair sometimes.

Rest in peace Joey.

The goal that kept Rochdale in the https://leveldevil-notatrollgame.org/ Championship and relegated Oldham on the same day as he returned to the club after a heroic second battle with cancer was more dramatic than any Hollywood script. But what was even more remarkable was his unwavering optimism throughout these battles.
