Southampton And Trabzonspor Agree Fee For Onuachu. Sulemana Could Be Next Friday, 20th Jun 2025 08:22 After two years of haggling, Saints & Turkish club Tranzonspor are said to have finally agreed a fee for Tall Paul Onuachu and in further news it seems that Kamaldeen Sulemana could also be sold as well. Respected transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano has been saying that the Tall Paul Onuachu saga could finally be coming to an end, but as the Daily Echo is reporting dealing with Trabzonspor has not been easy and that is not just with regards to this deal. Saints have been haggling with Trabzonspor for over two years now on one deal or another, obviously the transfer of Tall Paul Onuachu is the main focus, but as the Daily Echo reports it is not just this deal that has been an issue as the Turkish club seem to always want something on the cheap and not pay the going rate for it. "The Daily Echo is told personal terms are close to being agreed, although the structure of payments between the clubs must be established. "Trabzonspor were late on payments to Saints for Onuachu's loan spell during the 2023/24 season, causing frustration for those close to the deal. "Trabzonspor also still owe payments for the transfer of Mislav Orsic, who departed Saints after six months at the club for a reported fee of £3.5m. So this reveals just what Saints have had to put up with over the past couple of years , it has never been simple and you can never be sure of getting paid. However it is now claimed that the two clubs have come to an agreement for a fee said to be 10 million euros, around £8.4 million, in fairness give that Saints paid 15 million Euros in January 2023 that isn't a bad return given the circumstances and the fact that assuming that Trabzonspor have paid up the fee's they owed from his loan spell. Although it is a loss on the whole situation, this would probably be a good result for all three parties, the two clubs and the player himself. There are some that feel that we should give Tall Paul a go in the Championship, but truth is he is not the all round player that we need to adapt to differing opponents etc, not to mention that we already have another 4 Championship proven strikers at the club in Adam Armstrong, Ben Brereton Diaz, Ross Stewart & Cameron Archer. But there could be another departure soon, Kamadeel Sulemana has been the subject of interest from Italy, sportwitness.co.uk are claiming that Atalanta have made an offer for the winger. They say that Southampton having paid 22 million for Sulemana, would accept 15 million Euros but the Italians have started with a bid of 10 million euros. As some will know the manager of Atalanta is none other than former Saints manager Ivan Juric, perhaps the only manager at St Mary's of the 5 he has played under that has got more than 2 good games out of him. I would say that the report is right if we could get 15 million euros we would bite their hands off.
