Swans happy with the distraction as they work on getting players in

Despite the clamour from the main stream media, claims of bid after bid, the inclusion of Leicester City and various other reports from professional journalists nothing has changed. If they were to read what they write from day to day they surely would be embarrassed ? In amongst all this we have maintained a collective calm over the Richard Kone transfer speculation.

We have stated from the off that there was a bid, and that talks occurred, we have also maintained that any further talks would have seen an increase in the initial down payment only.

Yes, the Swans were close ish, and it could well be that another club give Wycombe Wanderers the price they want, but as of yesterday afternoon only two bids had been made. The first by Preston North End the other by Swansea City. Talks occurred but that doesn’t mean the Swans have moved on or have decided to move on. In fact we can reveal that the club were more than happy for the speculation to continue whilst they worked on two potential loans, one now confirmed from West Ham, and a forward which could lead to a permanent transfer. Unlike these outlets reporting and contradicting each other every day about the same subject, it all played into the clubs hands.

The situation with Kone is as explained, there was never a 4.5M bid, it doesn’t work like that. In fact had more talks been instigated Wycombe could have seen the benefits in the offer as it could have gone way beyond that 4.5M figure mystical figure. But it was the money up front they wanted more of. There is and was no cash flow issue from the Swans side, that should be dismissed but every player has their price. And with Kone being valued and a generous offer made the other sourced targets were also concentrated on. And progress from that we will no doubt see this and next week.

If I was to hazard a guess, then the Netherlands or Scotland may well crop up in the coming days, there’s plenty there to see.

There is a disturbing amount of impatience from Swans fans, not all but especially from a few who are forgetting possibly the amount of progress that has been made since Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen got on the bus properly and starting driving. The off the pitch exposure has increased markedly, the focus clearly on commercial revenue to counter spending. The deals the Swans have completed and are still to complete is surely an upturn on this time last year ?

Regardless of what happens next and as we stated with Oli McBurnie it was never really going to happen and no bid was ever made. Positivity rules here, and even without a ball being kicked in anger Alan Sheehan is under pressure. It’s absolutely nuts.

How can Swansea City news over this summer have gone so right and far above expectations, to people still complaining about an overvalued footballer from League One ?

Well said Keith, wake me up when they are holding the shirt is my motto. I do like the way things are going though and that the club finally seems to be run by professionals.

The speculation that so called professional journalists put out has gone beyond that would be considered rational a few years ago. The most fitting word who be, "Insane". The is no reasonable sense it what they are doing in the nonsense they putting out. There's no accountability and therefore, the can put any B.S. they like (and they know it) whether there's truth in it or not!

I saw the headlines in my feed (NewsNow Swansea City 24/7) and I don't ever get tempted to read them because I know for sure there's no substance to such articles. The one about Sheesy being under pressure was a big "What the hell are they on about. It's as though they are trying to cast a spell on the club. I'm not joking either! However, the club has been down this road many times in the past with the likes of TV pundits, only to end up with egg on their faces! They are called the experts yet the always end up looking like the fools they are trying to avoild. There are bias reporting going on in the media and hence they have lost every bit of integrity they ever had! Once the fat lady sings we can try and enjoy the football without putting up with such nonsense from insane reporter who have nothing better to do than dream up delusional ideas than try and sell it to us! However, the Jack Army I believe are wise to it and treats them wirh the contempt they deserve m!!!

Is a joy to read good honest reporting that is today as rare as hens teeth🤔 (don't have teeth by the way😬!)!

Keep up the good work, it's always noted 📝😬!

Come on you Swans 🦢🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👌
