![]() Wednesday, 28th Jul 2010 17:21 by TWTD.co.uk Town striker Jon Stead is reported to be in talks with Premier League new boys Blackpool. Stead is believed to have turned down the chance to join Bristol City, the Blues having agreed a fee of £200,000 with the Robins. The 27-year-old was amongst the eight players the Blues made available for transfer earlier in the summer and almost joined former loan club Coventry but that deal fell down when manager Chris Coleman was sacked. Blackpool are short on strikers having been unable to do a deal with Leicester for ex-loanee DJ Campbell and with former Town frontman Billy Clarke ruled out for the season with a cruciate knee ligament injury.
