 Wednesday, 28th Jul 2010 17:49 Clive Platt has today left the U's for an undisclosed fee after agreeing terms to join Coventry City and link up with former U's boss Aidy Boothroyd. The move will come as a shock to many U's fans, not just because it's completely out of the blue, but because the 32-year-old isn't exactly a prolific goalscorer with just 27 goals in 135 appearances (117 starts/18 subs).
