For any away fans, I recommend the Colliery Tavern, just opposite the ground, very away fan-friendly.

Hope we can get Siggurdson back into top form, he should have much more space now that Montero,Gomis & Ayew have been earmarked as the danger men. But i suppose Shelvey's through balls to the front 3 bypass Siggy alot of the time.

Start hard and fast, let them come out and play then pick them off.

With the spotlight on Montero i think Siggy will be the man today, "form is temporary, class is permanent" if that shot had gone in off under the bar last week, everyone would be drooling over one of the sweetest struck shot goals at the Liberty in a long while, a couple more of those peppering the Sunderland goal today and who knows, could well be Gyfi hogging the headlines tomorrow!

Need Ki on to place a few in the bottom corners, really. Pantilimon goes down in instalments.

We do have a history of helping teams and players who are struggling, so you never know.

edit: although, 1-3 is my prediction too. Gomis to score first

This is so true. We will be overconfident at our peril. None of his showing them no mercy. They are a premier League side on merit who have had a very poor start. They have an experienced manager and bad runs nearly always come to an end.
I think this must our first ever match in this league where we have gone in as hot favourites and I feel a bit uncomfortable about it although I am hoping for the best like everyone else.

Its an interesting one what you say as it has felt all week as if we are clear favourites yet the bookies still don't have us odds on which we were last week

Point taken. Gambling is one of the few vices I don't have so I ain't got a clue about odds. Maybe they are listening to the cautious ones like me ;-) Formwise we look so much better but it is rarely a simple as that.

Bookies odds change with betting patterns ...we're no more or less likely to win than we were last week.

They're in the money making business, not the prediction business.

If we survive the initial blast unscathed and they get a couple of yellows for Clatter and a full back I think we'll see them off. If they get early goal(s) we'll struggle a lot. This will be backs against the wall, teeth bared stuff if they have anything about them at all. let's hope they don't.

Just watching the Man Ure vs Newcastle game, United really struggled to break them down with their £400 million worth of players, yet we dispatched them with consumate ease.

How times have changed? I'm sure we were playing Sunderland in our first year in the Premiership, when one of their players nearly finished Taylors career, ? and if that wasn't bad enough the comments from their sunderland forums were disgusting at the time..

I hope we fuc*ng hammer them 10-0
