No, but I have now! Thanks for bringing to my attention. I saw they had a uk tour coming up, so assumed they had a new album out at some point - then again, they seem to tour permanently... Just saw it on YouTube. Cracking stuff, they never disappoint.

Forever in your debt for introducing me to them old bean.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Sunderland v Swansea CIty - Official Match Thread on 18:00 - Aug 22 with 1886 views | icecoldjack | Nothing wrong with who we are playing in the team IMO. Siggy is getting through alot of work, i pointed out the other day that he ran more yrds than anyone else against Chelsea. The point about Ayew exposing Naughton is a clear one for me but just like Jeff he will learn his role as the season wears on, at the moment his goal threat is out pacing his need for defensive support, it's getting the fine balance right that will take time. Siggy was inches from scoring last week and unlucky this week, if people can't see what heis bringing then they watch a different game to me. We conceeded a very soft goal today, fernandez went walk about and as one poster mentioned the other day,Defoe likes to score against us. We knew this game was a Banana skin, but we ended up beating ourselves by being sloppy, thats a big shame IMO . Sunderland away always seems to be a bloody chew on! they are an awful team though and i'm really dissapointed to not take the 3 pts, however a point away from home and another decent performance is good enough to soften the blow. We need to be clinical in front of goal though, Ayew should have scored at least 2 but like i said its early doors .

Sunderland v Swansea CIty - Official Match Thread on 18:37 - Aug 22 with 1761 views | builthjack | It really annoys me when the aftermatch analysis is all about the other team. Sky excelled themselves. The stats were shown on the screen, something like 61% possession to us, 20 shots to their 10, bla bla bla, and they interview Adfukar and you would think that Sundersand should have had the 3 points. Jeeeez. The feckers need to realise that we are little no more. Get that stadium extension done quick. Straight to 33000. Let's shut them up.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Sunderland v Swansea CIty - Official Match Thread on 17:29 - Aug 22 by Rancid | Agree with Jasper also.Been saying it for a few weeks that Siggy has become a passenger as Ayew is leaving his wing and playing the CAM role Siggy's allocated. And like Jasper says it does leave Naughton exposed at times. No need to panic just yet but I'd have liked to have seen Dyer come on for Siggy and switched Ayew to CAM and Dyer on the wing. |
To be honest, I've been so smitten with how we've been playing overall this season I can't say I've consciously picked up on the Ayew/Gylfi thing, but come to think of it, it's spot on. It's hard to pick at Ayew given his great start, but most of his impact has been in places Gylfi (or whoever is playing that role) should be (and usually is, or trying to be). Goes some way to explaining Gylfi's lack of Impact so far. I almost forget Ayew is playing out wide as most of the time he's in the centre looking to link up with Gomis. I remember this being an issue when Bony and Michu were playing together - they both seemed to want to take up the same positions. Can be easily worked on by the staff though, early days.

Sunderland v Swansea CIty - Official Match Thread on 19:03 - Aug 22 with 1680 views | jasper_T | Probably worth remembering that Ayew plays on the left as a preference. Might do a better job as a traditional wide-man if he started on that side.
Sunderland v Swansea CIty - Official Match Thread on 19:07 - Aug 22 with 1664 views | Deerhunter | Enjoyed the match to be honest, was entertaining. Considering how wary our fans were, its weird to be disappointed we never won it in the end. But given the amount of chances you had, a draw was a fair result.

Yeah, shoehorning it was often called on here, I remember with Michu, and rightly so.To be fair to him he was more often than not just that and ''shoehorned'' into a centre forward for us and it worked very well until we decided to sign Bony and revert him (Michu) to CAM.It worked great in Valencia but on the whole it took away a lot of Michus game for us.I think Michu would have preferred Danny Graham and Luke Moore to have stayed where Danny and Moore would compliment him better than a out and out striker like Bony was.Ayew doesn't seem to have the pace to be a typical winger like we've already got and get to the byline and put crosses in for the likes of Gomis to latch onto or Gylffi for the clearance or 2nd ball. He's tremendous in the air and looks every bit a central player for us and shoehorned into a winger. Like you say though mate it's not really a concern and can easily be remedied, more an observation and perhaps nitpicking by the likes of me.

"But given the amount of chances you had, a draw was a fair result." ????? I'm sorry, that sentence would only make some semblance of sense if you had a similar number of chances which is nowhere near the truth. Given the number of chances we had, the only 'fair' result would have been a comfortable Swansea win, maybe 3-1 or 4-1. Ask the 2 goalkeepers, you know, the one who was under siege for most of the game including making a world class save and the other one who had almost nothing to do including making saves. With the greatest respect you should have been down to nine, Cattermole should never be allowed on a football field, and now you have Rodwell, please don't tell me you condone this type of behaviour

Our superior skills just over months ago.
