Was it a sort of optical illusion?

Helped by invisible engraving no doubt.

Swansea City, THE Austerity Club.

Positionally a little naive playing them onside, but there was nothing he could do about the. OG.

I'm sure his positioning will improve with experience.

How do we all think he compares to Ben Davies when he first got into the team?

Thought Kingsley had a good game, and was no way responsible for the OG.
Admittedly watched on a poor stream, but I felt he lacked a bit of pace.

Naughton looked decent on the front foot too.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Ffs give the kid a break
Reading some off the post on here about the ogre and the playing them on side is ridiculous
He has played very well today concidering it's his 2nd or 3rd start
Thought he was unlucky to lose his place after the arsenal game.
Taylor has been shit most the season and only had so many games due to the fact he had no competition
1
Stephen Kingsley on 20:58 - May 7 with 2235 viewsNeathJack

Very good going forward today offering us everything that Taylor doesn't.

Found wanting on too many occasions defensively though (including being put on his arse at one point) but far more positives than negatives.

A very good prospect who needs nurturing rather than being exposed too often at this level yet.

To be fair, I thought most on here have been very complimentary toward Kingsley today, just couple of constructive criticism comments.

Centre back is his preferred position, certainly one that's going to break through in whatever position,

think we have bought 4 or 5 boys from scotland for around the million pound mark if only stephen kingsley makes the grade it will be a cheap investment in this day and age, maybe people should stop mocking our scouting system up scotland.

It would be great to play full backs that help us score more than the opposition, not just help us try and concede less than them

Bit small for a center-back. Only 178cm according to wiki. Surprised, he looks taller and has a good aerial presence.

Perhaps we have stumbled upon the elusive wing back combo to enable the use of Franco's famous 3-5-2 system. 2 centre backs and 1 back up FB /WB and the defence is sorted. Taylor can go to Norwich.

He's not the finished article by any means, but he has a great future for us - we just need to give him a run of games and let him build some experience.

For whatever reason though, that centre back partnership today was better than any other partnership we've had this season in dealing with set pieces. They must have had 15 corners or so and we defended them really well and that's with Carroll against them who is as good from set pieces as any forward in this league.

Maybe people will now stop seeing Williams as the flawless captain marvel that they do.

Fede-Ash-Amat
Naughton-Cork-Ki-Kingsley
Paloschi-Gylfi-Ayew

Doesn't look a bad platform to build on for next season imo.

Two replacement CB's - one for Williams (time to go) and one back up. Then we're done

Really? Yesterday's was the best we've defended all season and guess who wasn't playing .

It's mindless loyalty like that which has got us virtually the same defence as what we had in the championship.

Ash is still a defender which slots into our team easily though. I agree that he's now in the twilight of his career and perhaps we should be looking forward in the next couple of years. I can see at least one more season in him.

THIS. It's my long weekend off, I was there yesterday, happy as a pig in cardiff and I've been on the sauce ever since, so feel unqualified / incapable to really add anything to swansealad69's comments. But I couldn't have put it better myself. KINGSLEY for L/B next deason IMHO.

Unfortunately, Ash, as well as Taylor, are the type of players we have in this team who could literally kick the ball into our own net whilst flipping off the fans and people would still want them in the starting 11. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions but fact is it took Taylor six seasons to create 1 assist which Kingsley has done in just 3 games. Same goes for Williams, the great servant that he has been still has days of brilliance, but Fede and Amat has been the best partnership this year and the stats back that up. 13 corners with Andy Caroll against a team which concedes goals from set pieces for fun. Not to mention the 25 shots they had.
