Better coming on from the bench? Or not?

One trick pony sussed out easily after his 2 great games and now uninterested.

Get rid of him, on the whole he's crap. All of our wide players are crap, he's the crappest.

We are lurching from one theory to another, he put a good cross in on Saturday, feeling then is give him a go from the start, then after 30 mins, everyone is saying, can't start with him etc etc.

We can't carry on having blind faith, something has to give.

He is a great option to have on the bench. Shouldn't be starting unless Barrow is unavailable though.

A question also asked by many other supporters.
Surely Nath should be given a shot, considering our present options?

A fit and fired up Montero is a decent player.
There's obviously something wrong at the moment, he can't be starting as it stands. Have a go at fixing whatever is bugging him before thoughts of shipping him out.

He just looks on a different wavelength to everyone else, no intelligence whatsoever. Several times yesterday he could of run in behind but keeps on wanting it to feet for some reason.

I just think he can't get used to the league, language, etc. I am shocked he signed a new contract.

As I said several times yesterday, I always try and stick up for him, but that performance yesterday proved to me he wasn't up for the fight. Really, really disappointed. We are struggling in so many areas, this season is a complete write off, this needs a few seasons to be rebuild, and then only if we have the right backing. Very worrying times.

Taylor was yelling abuse at him from the second minute, playing balls over the top where he thought Montero should be even when Jeff was in space available for a short pass.

Nyom had him for pace and guile, and when your teammates treat you like sh!t it's hard to keep fighting through adversity for them.

Agree with your comments if you're referring to Sunday league at Ashleigh Road! He is a professional player and should play at nothing less than 100% commitment regardless of how he feels about Neil Taylor. If one of my colleagues is a little bit off with me, would I down tools for the day? No because I would be criticised for it and rightly so.

Bench maybe....but only due to lack of roster depth.
He has looked completely lost at times. Very easily dispossessed, and not good at drawing fouls. Is only able to cross from 1 angle which makes him easy to defend....and that cross won't have much on it. Offers nothing defensively.
He would be mediocre in Championship; not good enough for PL.
Don't think Bob will start him again based on yesterday.

He would benefit from a shift down the pits. Then the lazy little sod might realise how cushy he's got it.

A professional footballer up against another professional player who had his number, and made a couple of mistakes early on (the slip especially seemed to kill his evening).

Everyone on here cries all day about us lacking a leader, but players are also supposed to be emotionless robots impervious to pressure? Make up your minds, please.

Motivation matters. Togetherness, the support of your teammates, and even sometimes the fans, it all counts for something when things aren't going your way.

For me Jeff didn't give up until the second half when his legs had gone anyway (we've never got more than that out of him). He tried in the first half, he didn't hide. He was just sh!t.

The reason he didn't bother is your first point - he realised early on that Nyom had him for pace, and once his full back matches his pace, he has absolutely nothing so gives up.

When his full back doesn't match him for pace, he still has very little, but the sheer number of times he can on those occasions dink one into the box, means that one may well pay off.

He looks better as a sub, because even the fastest full backs are beginning to tire after 70 minutes or so, so he's less likely to be matched over 10 yards.

He's the most one dimensional winger I can remember. Perhaps he's too thick to play the position properly. The best wingers tend to be relatively intelligent (in game terms), and know how to mix it all up at the right times.

Barrow is only slightly better.

There's a reason that they were playing in the Mexican (was it Mexican?) and Swedish leagues before joining us. It's because they are not good enough. We need to stop thinking we are scouting geniuses that can spot a talent that others can't see. Because we blatantly are not.

Montero was in Mexico for good reason, having failed to make the grade at Villareal.

But Barrow was in Sweden because that's where his father lived, his career trajectory was nothing but upward as he played through their domestic system, trials etc. It's not really the same thing.

It's not quite the same, but he's not a kid. If he was genuinely good he'd have found himself playing at a higher level than the Swedish second division at 21 or 22 or whatever he was when we bought him. It's not as if the Swedish first division is a particularly high level. He's marginally better than Montero I think, but not good enough to be a starter in the premier league.

Our flanks must be the weakest in the division by a mile. Full backs and wingers are woeful.

all are rubbish.

Montero flatters but ,as has been said , he s no guts and it must be evident in training.

Spoilt and pitiful

Never mind pits. He could try working shifts in a warehouse or on a check out.

Why give Dyer a contract?

Probably because he turns Huw from a flaccid waste to a virile and hormonal behemoth. Much like Dineen with Marvin.

His reputation from other clubs fans told us that he was inconsistent, think it was said that he'd have one good game in 4, not good enough for us we can't afford to carry players like him, its a shame that he can't apply himself better though.
