Not crying over it, but thought it may have been half-realistic given Clement's history with him at Bayern. Would have been a great get.

Jenkins most likely wouldn't open the wallet, but hey there might be a League One centre half we can grab.

When it comes to allowing other teams to sign players we're after, there's no team better than that than us. If only the Premier League table was dependent on that and not wins.

In every one of our transfer windows you could seriously make complete starting XIs out of players we were interested in but failed to sign. It's utterly ridiculous.

If you count up all the players we are supposedly linked and you can count the ones that do come here on one hand and then its probably around 3

I imagine Huw is more preoccupied with getting certain players out, not in as that helps the balance sheet which is the number one priority in this window.

According to the BBC:

"The 27-year-old centre-back has had a string of bad injuries and has only played 18 out of 135 Bundesliga games over the past four years."

We know his quality but there has to be big questions over his long term and match fitness.
Maybe not as bad we've lost out as some posters are making out in this thread imo.

We shouldn't all be tarred with the same brush you know!

Us or Schalke...hmm yeah that's The clubs fault we didn't get him. Let's be honest, if we're competing against established top level clubs with money it's not even a competition
