Middlesbrough aren't going up with Pulis, he's too defensive. They bottled it in the play-offs against Villa, didn't even score. And they spent £30m on players, plus getting rid of Monk, and getting in Pulis, less parachute payments next season, so there must be a limit to how much Steve Gibson is willing to put in, though I guess it's all debt, and they're going to have a lot of it. Gibson is an example of what a real local owner does for the community and club, not like the fakes we have at the Swans who have extracted the wealth for the last 7 yrs.
I'd rather see us develop a sustainable method of play like before rather than get big sam, we don't have his type of player here anyway and half the problem the last few seasons has been our players being asked to play a type of game they arn't up to .
As said above, Sam will be one of the richest managers out there and will be back in work in December doing a copy and paste job for more multi millions.

You have to ask the question why is he always out on his arse from clubs he actually does quite well at? The football is that bad that results alone are not good enough for the fans.
Before anybody accuses these fans of being privileged, remember our fans lost their collective shiite with the way Jackett played and eventually hounded him out.
It's a moot point anyway, because why would Big Sam take on a full time project when he can get a signing on fee, big wages, bonus for keeping a team up and a big fat severance - all for 5 months work a year? | |
