Strange how both those countries prosecuted German War criminals at the Nurembugh trials after WW2. They also jointly guarded convicted German War criminals at the Spandau Prison in West Berlin .
The Americans recognise War Crines and crimes against humanity in its Military courts so it is INCORRECT to say the US does not recognise War crimes.
I think you are confusing the fact that the US has not signed up to the International Criminals Court set up by the statute of Rome.
Russia has not signed up to the ICC.
Both Russia and USA have signed the Geneva convention.
It’s tiring having to correct these fools every five minutes isn’t it?
It’s terrifying that people actually think this way.

Do you recognise that other countries beside the USA may commit war crimes and just because the USA may have committed war crimes does not make it ok for others to do so too?

Putin cutting of oil and gas supplies from any countries not paying for them in Roubles. It comes into effect from tomorrow.
He's made no secret that he want's to circumvent the petro dollar. America is terrified of losing the petro dollar as it's a huge source of income to them

Putin's more scared of losing valuable income to pay for his illegal incursion , dollars and euros are less useful to Moscow while sanctions are strangling his economy . Russia also wants /needs to pay the interest on its euro-denominated debts with roubles, another calamity for Ivan .

Why on earth cannot Ukraine place weapons in the cities that the Russians are attacking. It is quite perverse to blame the Ukrainians for defending their country from invading Russians forces. The only only people to blame for deliberately targeting and killing civilians are the Russians.
Did you read the article? Quote The Ukrainian military has “a responsibility under international law” to remove their forces and equipment from civilian-populated areas, and if that is not possible, to move civilians out of those areas, Weir said.
“If they don’t do that, that is a violation of the laws of war,” he added. “Because what they are doing is they are putting civilians at risk. Because all that military equipment are legitimate targets.”

You must have missed the part where safe corridors were agreed but strangely enough shortly after the Russians forgot their existence

If the Russians had not invaded Ukraine there would be no need to kill civilians deliberately.

Who say's I forgot it and how do you know it was the Russians also forgot it. Ukranians escaping from Mariupol say it was the Ukranian forces, the Azov brigade in particular.

Then why not mention it , you seem focused purely on the Ukrainians who may I remind you didn't invade Russia .

I've read the article, it then goes on to state :-
"Even if Ukraine violates its responsibilities under international law, “that doesn’t mean Russia gets a pass to do whatever it wants,” Weir said. If civilians are killed near a military position or equipment, Russia still can be held responsible for a possible war crime if its attack was indiscriminate and disproportionate against the civilian population."
You've either taken the quote out of context, skim read the entire article or are deliberately trying to misreprent it. Meanwhile innocent civilians are dying in their hundreds. That's nice of you.

Where do you think the Ukrainian Army and in particular the Azov Brigade set up their defences and as the Russians advanced where did they move to? Have you watched the video of supposed Ukranian Mariupol escapees saying that it was Azov that destroyed a hospital and the Theatre with all the people under it? How do you know what to believe?
"Refugee’ propaganda video slandering Ukrainian soldiers in Mariupol and 'thanking Russia' was produced by the FSB
n 23 March, RIA Novosti, and other state-controlled Russian media broadcast a video in which somebody identified as a young Ukrainian from Mariupol, Lyubov Ustinova repeated the Kremlin’s narrative about the Ukrainian Azov soldiers defending Mariupol. The Russian independent MediaZona has now discovered that three videos with Ustinova were produced by Russia’s Security Service, or FSB, with the media instructed not to divulge this extremely relevant detail. It seems likely that the same methods have been used to produce other propaganda, with this one of the purposes for Russia’s forcible ‘evacuation’ of Mariupol residents to Russia or occupied Donbas and Crimea, while blocking all roads leading to Ukrainian cities not under Russian occupation. Ukraine cannot fulfil that responsibility when Russia has blocked routes out of towns and cities and has even bombarded civilian convoys attempting to leave besieged areas.
It is Russia putting civilians at risk, not Ukraine. You'll denounce the link because it's the BBC but,
And yet people are seemingly defending Russia, making excuses for Putin or going as far as to deny the stories are true, calling them MSM propaganda.
People are bizarre. If these stories were only from one source, a discredited source, then maybe they'd have a point but these stories are coming thick and fast from multiple sources. These sources though, they don't meet the standards some on here demand. They come from mainstream media and not from "www.tinfoilhatwearer.com" run by some delusional people from their home made nuclear bunker in deepest Madasahatteristan.

It appears Russia can't defend its own borders with a reported air strike air on a fuel depot in Belgorod .I suppose Putin & co will use it as a a excuse to intensify it's so far feeble efforts to over come the Ukrainian military ,

Ho dear Russia claims the Russian fuel dump that has gone up in flames only supplies covilians. Not as if Russia has not targeted civilian fuel dumps in Ukraine.
Funny how Russia who have claimed to destroyed the Ukrainian air force and has now mastery of the sky now claims it was the Ukrainians whot done it.

I read that Russia says this attack damages "trust" well what the blooming heck do they think sending over 100k troops into another country, bombarding towns and cities, murdering civilians and blocking aid does?
Putin doesn't like it because those nasty Ukrainians are fighting back and making Russia look silly!

More and more evidence of Russian war crimes as their army retreats from Kyev in total disarray.
The evidence from Bucha seems damning both in the tactical failure but also in execution of civilians and use of children as human shields. I await the Putin apologists.
