Am I right in thinking both transfers had add ons.
I would imagine Birmingham getting promoted would trigger some cash as part of the Dykes deal and Bristol City getting promoted would do the same with the Armstrong deal.

I wondered the same and could be something in it for us but assume it is more likely to be based on goals and appearances.Dykes scored 1 league goal in 26 appearances and Armstrong 3 in 36 which suggests we did well to move them on for fees. |  | | |

I already see him reimagined as the Lizard man…probably cost a couple of weeks wages but imagine what he could do with those nodules on his bonce. No one would have a Danny as to which direction the ball would travel after he headed it.
Who knows - he might even score more than 5 a season again.

Add-ons being realised concerning these two is a tad fanciful. They weren't very good when they were with us and haven't got any better/deteriorated (in the case of Dykes), so we were correct in selling both for decent sums considering the huge limitations of both.
Kolli, not a centre-forward but possesses far greater football savvy than Armstrong and is already better equipped to play at this level, as attested by his superior number of goals and assists in far fewer games played. As for Dykes, he couldn't get ahead of Alfie May, who has played his entire career at league one and below.
The only thing we did wrong, was not bringing in a forward in January. However, we've got away with it, as we have managed to maintain our league status for another season. [Post edited 5 May 10:38]
