Seems most people are due a £70 refund as Mastercard charged companies too much for its use. Details in a few months. S'ppose Fullers will get most of mine ! |
 | Forum Thread | Beer thread at 14:02 26 May 2025
For one wild. Moment I thought the Crystal Palace Beer Fest thread was about, well, beer. We need more beer threads in these football-less times. I had a great couple of pints of Wobbly Bob in the Morris yesterday. 6% so you know you had a few. Anyone else got a beer update. Oh, the Plough & Harrow closes next weekend. |

Why is the playoff final kicking off at this time ? Went past the Duke of Cornwall yesterday day and saw 15.01 on the board outside and thought someone had changed it for a joke. |

Dunno about you young 'un, but for me it'd be: “Last to the bar's a three-legged crow, Set'em up Joe, set 'em up Joe, set 'em up Joe” G'night. |

Evri & DHL have merged to become super-deliverer. Evri used to be the worst but have massively improved. We've had threads about terrible delivery cos. Fullers use DHL so a shout out for them - also, I used to do one day a week at their Feltham depot as a sort of quality checker. Let's hope dumped parcels are a thing of the past. |

No, not a candidate for our new manager, I spluttered in my beer when I read just now that Gen Z are extolling the virtues of Chet and there is an album coming out next week by latterday performers called Chet Baker Reimagined. There is hope yet… |

We've all used that expression for a side not needing any points. Any Sinton won't have it - he says professional pride and camaraderie obtain. I thought Sunderland played hard today, certailny some lusty tackling. They just weren't on great form. Any comments ? |

Not QPR Head Coach but the beer. Always been a fan, now Big Job. Very similar in taste and strength and on intro offer in shops. I know we've some Proper Job fans on here. |

Maybe lighten the load…weather tomorrow likely hottest May Day ever. I used to go on canal boat holidays (always plenty of pubs at mooring points), one year we were in Dudley, first week of May and the canal was frozen over. I'm still not entirely convinced re warming, but some change eh ? |

 | Forum Thread | Pub nostalgia at 20:47 15 Apr 2025
I heard a piece of music yesterday that reminded me of the day I nervously entered my first pub, way back in about nineteen canteen. There was a bloke playing piano and singing, to the tune of Abide With Me “we've ad no beer, we've 'ad no bleedin' beer”. I was hooked. Anyone else ? |

Mariah Carey cleared of copying Vince Vance's song All I Want For Xmas Is You on her song All I Want For Xmas Is You. Reckon they both plagiarised my song All I Want For Xmas Is 6 Points. Beethoven was accused of nicking Mozart's stuff but he countered “it's just 12 notes & a few chords innit bruv, nah wot ah mean ?” G'night all. |

I know we've a postie or two on here. Denmark stopping letter deliveries after this year. Posties have been a lifeline to many folk over the years. Even some folksongs written about 'em - “what a wonderful man the postman is” and, “ the post has got to get through” Hope it won't be the same here, but I expect it will be. |
 | Forum Thread | Fuller’s demise? at 11:36 6 Mar 2025
Following on from DM's thread about London Pride’s deterioration, I had occasion to visit the Distillers in Hammersmith. I was given a (short) pint of Pride which was thin and ice cold. I thought I'd get HSB or ESB next but then saw that of the six handpumps, Pride was the only Fuller's ale. I remember when they sold the brewing arm to Asahi, they said they'd guarantee to stock Fuller's for five years. Is the five years up ? What's it like in the C&S? |
