It's not bizarre at all. It will be the same when we play Arsenal. Full of tourists and glory hunters. All desperate crazed lemons paying a fortune to see their heroes, even though they have never set foot in Manchester in their lives. There will be phones taking pictures everywhere on Saturday.
One aspect I won't miss next season, when you meet proper fans of clubs, who have never won anything. Fans who just support their local club. [Post edited 8 May 22:37]

When I was in London for a couple of days last month I stayed in a hotel just around the corner from Paddington.
I bumped into a fella in an Arsenal shirt in the hotel lift and asked him how they’d got on.

I don't understand it. It's crazy as well I think, when you walk around London and see Liverpool shirts, these are londoners, who could support Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and they still buy a Liverpool shirt. At the Spurs game away recently, right outside the ground, someone was walking around in a Liverpool shirt. They might be the best, but that's not the point. If we all just supported the best team, the other clubs wouldn't have any fans, would run out of money and there wouldn't be any games at all. These people are so stupid. | |
