Not seen it, but it has excellent reviews. The long walk is also supposed to be good. Again excellent reviews. |

It's an utter mess all round. You're right, we have lost that brave, go for it attitude. It just looks like the players can't be arsed at times and yes, are scared to lose. Perhaps there is a lot of pressure, a toxic pressure, toxic environment within the club yes, which makes everyone on edge. But what can you do? Ofcourse there are expectations. It seems strange to me that players that are useless here, under various managers, often are brilliant at other clubs. There must be something wrong at the club. The environment just isn't right and hasn't been since Sport Republic arrived. I sense frustrations throughout the club, in the players such as the lack of a striker (again!!) and the continuous mistakes from above. As for young players, Robertson is loved by the fans. I've not heard a bad word against him. I like him, he was brilliant at Ipswich. So what do they do, they drop him and play our other young player, who is absolutely useless. And the reason is all about money. They spent 7 million on Downs, so they are desperate to scramble that money back. That's all it is. There will be pressure on the manager to recoup that money and therefore play him. This then causes disharmony in the squad when players are picked purely for this reason, rather than form. Robertson hasn't cost us anything. This is how Sport Republic run the club. They make decisions based on what they will think will make money. So basically the problem is the owners. I am certain of it. [Post edited 11 Oct 21:19]

Yep. We sold him for about 500k. A young promising player, league ones top scorer, and we sell him very cheap. Sport Republic are f@cking idiots. [Post edited 11 Oct 18:51]

Do they not question you as a new customer having an SO post code or a post code not in London, unless you are in London?. |

At least he's trying. There is a ceasefire. An end to the starvation and killing, for now at least. How many meetings has there been between EU leaders over the last 3 years and nothing, absolutely nothing done. Trump just gets on with it, and for that that I applaud him. [Post edited 10 Oct 13:44]

Continuing our little link with football and Saints, if Saints stopped f@cking about, looking at data on a computer screen, sending scouts across the world, having meetings - all a complete waste of time and just bought a proven striker at the level we are at, just get on with it and do it, we might be in a better place. The ceasefire was only arranged today, so too late for this year, and we need to see if there is continued peace. But I don't care if his intention is to win the peace prize. Wouldn't it be great if Saints had a manager / owner who wanted the prize for best manager and therefore winning the league! And by whatever means. [Post edited 10 Oct 12:15]

Whatever people say about Trump, he has enabled a ceasefire, the release of hostages and a stop to the killing and starvation of children. His threats to Hamas, and grabbing these fighting countries by the scruff of the neck have worked. He said he would bring hell to Hamas if they didn't release the hostages. You have to fight fire with fire, Trump might be fire, but that's the only thing that other fires respond to! Whilst Starmer, Macron, previous Tory PM's and other EU leaders go round and round in circles having meetings, saying things time and time again, being polite and diplomatic, but never doing, Trump just gets it done like a steam train. That approach is needed sometimes IMO. I don't follow one person and neither left nor right, I just see what I see. I see a ceasefire arranged, an end to the fighting and hostages released. I see thousands of people returning to Gaza on the news with aid approved. This is great news. Sometimes the means to an end (threats, force, "bullying") doesn't matter, if the end is so positive. This is where other leaders get stuck. They don't like to threaten, or get tough, and then they get absolutely nowhere. [Post edited 10 Oct 11:52]

Good news on Israel Gaza by the looks of it. Hamas even thanking Trump for his leadership. All good if the hostages are released and a peace deal is arranged. |

I looked into this as I was surprised by the small allocation and wanted to go. However. 1800 is the full allocation, as Ipswich have only been given this amount too. I assume QPR, don't give the whole end anymore like they used to, or perhaps they know they will sell to their own fans against clubs like us and Ipswich and they are doing well. Personally, I'm not surprised it's sold out with such a small allocation. Everyone likes a London game and most don't have to have time off work to go. Plus, everyone trying to get a pompey ticket. Thanks for that, very interesting. Can you get British food in Japan, or is it all sushi and fish? Not all the family like fish! Did you stay in a hotel in the city or near the beach? Going to the Caribbean soon, never been so looking forward to that. |

Anne Frank's house is an amazing experience. The actual bookcase is there and the actual books from the time. Amsterdam is very chilled, and clean. |

I loved going to the Dell, knowing we could pull off a scalp, a surprise, enjoyed being the under dog but generally we always had players fighting for the shirt, who enjoyed upsetting the odds. We knew we could beat Man U or upset the top clubs from time to time. Even when we were in league one with a 10 point deduction, we had new owners, an exciting fight on our hands that we knew we could overcome, a bright future to look forward to. Saint Marcus RIP. But now it's just acceptance, a numb feeling, generally a set of fans whose day is great if they have had a hotdog and a few drinks in the fan zone. An embarrassment last season and it continues. It's not the same anymore. Walking to the ground thinking we might scrape a win, taking us to 15th in the table isn't exciting, it doesn't get the blood flowing. Most likely it's a draw or we lose. Oh well. Enjoy Amsterdam. Great city, so calm. Love it there. Mind out for the cyclists, the coffee shops and a few particular streets 🤠[Post edited 6 Oct 23:36]

It has everything to do with being a Saints fan. There has always been ups and downs, but it does feel like this is it -boring score draws in the lower half of the championship. SFC has lost its sparkle. We always pulled off some great scalps, had some great managers and players. Not any more. I can only see us becoming like Reading with empty seats everywhere and just existing. It feels hopeless, knowing that we are stuck with the manager, and if not they will just bring in another dud. It's not exciting anymore with these terrible owners. [Post edited 6 Oct 22:30]

I think Nick is suggesting that the manager is the problem at the moment and I would totally agree. I would agree that we have a "reasonable" squad that is underperforming without a doubt. The players do not know what they are doing and it's a mess on the pitch. I absolutely think a better, more experienced manager would get more out of these. Fellows is a proven goal scorer and provides assists. So was Azaz at Boro. But they are failing under this manager. Having said that, we needed a new goalkeeper and a new striker and have done since we said this after losing Ings. I remember posting on here with Nick, during the preseason friendly at home. We were a complete mess and went 2 nil down. We did pull it back to 2 all, but we were all.over the place. The signs were there from the very start. But ultimately again Nick, who appointed Will Still? Who appointed Johanes? It's mistake after mistake, year after year. Something is wrong and something was wrong last year too. We are being run disastrously. [Post edited 6 Oct 13:48]
