Its pathetic really that a club of our stature in the Championship have so few decent CFs .

Its almost like the opposition just have to defend reasonably well and wait for the inevitable mistake we'll make at the back.

Have to say I've not been overly impressed by him so far.

He's improved since the shaky start to the season but being not particularly tall 5 "11 I believe and neither quick or particularly strong I'm surprised by the love the QPR fans have for him.

I'd be stretching it a bit to describe myself as over the moon with the manager!

I'm as frustrated and disappointed with the season as much as anybody else.
The last 3 years Saints have continually sacked managers and its not really worked so just want to see this guy be given a fair crack as we're a basket case club with no decent or fit centre forwards and after getting the mighty 12 points last season it was likely going to be a bit of a rebuild.

Leicester and particularly Ipswich have been just as disappointing and they were nowhere near as bad as us last season.

I'd weigh things up at Xmas.

If we're not in the top half by then he'll likely get the bullet and would have definitely lost the fan base fully.

If we're in the top half I'd give him the rest of the season .
Then sack him if we dont finish in the playoffs.

Call me old fashioned but I don't think constantly sacking managers makes much difference.

Azaz was about 12m
Fellows 8m with add ons
Jander 10m
Scienza 8.5m with add ons

Plus we have a goalscoring Armstrong to fit in.
Archer cost 15m and is our only other playable CF.

How can any manager play all these players without some being subs ?

I dont see either Jander or Charles as CDM either.
Theyre far more comfortable as two no 8s .

How can a defensive team as you're suggesting have 21 shots on goal..that doesn't make sense .

So he scores twice in the previous game to give us a vital away win.

The manager then rests him for the next game.

We draw with Derby and the fans will bemoan that the manager has dropped the in form striker...he can't win .

It was a very flat atmosphere yesterday, definitely one of the worst I've noticed for a league game in years.

I didn't think we played particularly badly and were quite unlucky not to win comfortably...but we have no luck and the continous poor decision making by our owners and their employees have created a situation where now making our own bad luck ..

You make good luck with hard work and good decision making.

We're a classic example of the opposite of this.

I dont see which 2 you can play up front.

Archer has been crap..apart from cup games.

Armstrong is only effective out on the right.

Robinson beats players but gives the ball away cheaply and he's not a striker .

Fellows scored 4 goals for West Brom last season.

Azaz has been crap so far.

Downs a disaster.

Stewart forever injured.

Why are we not bringing someone in who is a free agent??
Maybe someone with some height and physical strength.

Its not Still's fault when we hit the post twice and both times the ball falls to our players who basically miss open goals.

Do you not think some of this is on the players?

Fair enough blame the manager but I honestly dont see anyone else getting enough goals for us and thats down to the recruitment and Sports Republic not the manager.

Another way to look at this is ...IF.. we beat Swansea, we're unbeaten in 4 games.

Not sure why you think he has an attitude problem by playing in L1 promotion winning team
Now scoring goals for Preston and an England 21 call up to boot.

I just remember he was a highly rated young player that Everton wanted to keep and we were prepared to pay 5m for him in 2022.

He left us for nothing and is now back on track in his career.
It's just a shame that weren't able to nurture his talent as he may have been a real asset at this level.

We paid Everton 5m for him.

Was very highly regarded full/wing back /winger

1 poor appearance against Coventry in the FA cup and that was the last we saw of him.

60 odd games for Nathan Jones's promotion winning Charlton side saw him move to Preston who are currently 4th. 9 games . 16pts.

He's scored 2 in his last 2 games and has been called up for the England 21s squad.

Why can't we manage these players better when they clearly have lots of potential.
