Where are the next generation of Uglies? 12:59 - May 9 with 3458 views | PatfromPoole | The thought occurred to me today of what this message board might look like in 20 or 30 years time. I would guess that the average age of contributors to this esteemed forum would be somewhere between 50 and 60. We of course so sadly no longer have the much-missed input of SFCReferee, who brought the average age down a fair bit. I am aware of two younger contributors, ShirtNumbers and Joiedevivre, both very fine young chaps who will doubtless have valuable contributions to make in future years, hopefully reflecting on happier times for our club. But are there any others?? This is I guess in part a recognition of the job Nick has done in allowing me to fall out with him about 10 times a year on here over the last couple of decades. Long may it continue.

Are you sure that's not MumsNet..? Social media is awful, clickbait rubbish! (or trash, as Kemi Badenoch would say). It's use diminishes the brain. I'm convinced an adequate showing of screen times between our 'celebrity' supporters would show as such. It's like reading the headline without reading the story. The clicks are all they want. Here, on forums, we get discussion - meaningful or otherwise - without the parroting of XG and the "noddy" characteristics of the new age fan.
