Solak said a few weeks ago that we were after an attacking midfielder in addition to a striker.
We have signed the striker (Downs).
We don't seem to have been linked with many attacking midfielders.
Rene from the Echo seems to think Matsuki will be loaned out.
Could Jay Robinson be the answer? |

I see we have a new yellow and blue kit.
Might be worth this old classic getting an airing at Northampton, what with it being a Cup game and all that:-

Weirdly, I saw the details briefly on the club's ticket website about half an hour ago. And then they took them down......
Anyway, it looks like tickets go on sale at 9.30am tomorrow morning.
11 aways is the first threshold.
Allocation is 1,535.

All three of the above will play the first 3 or 4 games of the season for Saints, and they will help us to have a decent start to the season.
In the background, there will be all sorts of games going on with offers and counter-offers being made by various clubs.
All three players will say the right things, but (understandably in the cases of Ramsdale and Fernandes) will say to the club they want to leave.
They will then be sold right at the end of the transfer window at the end of August.
We will then be frantically trying to source replacements, probably on loan.
Chaos at the end of August.
Sadly difficult for the club to avoid with the way the Prem clubs do their transfer dealing unfortunately. |

Will Nick finally accept that he is not going to play a big part this season?
A move back to Spain was mooted a number of weeks ago.
His only use to me seemed to be being Fernandes’ best mate.
Another expensive acquisition from Man. City which hasn’t worked out.

Kicks off at 5pm.
Think this should be a really good game.
Really like what I have seen of our team in this comp. We play the game at pace, as the senior team should.
Hoping not to have put the mockers on us though.
I do like Anderson from Forest and Stansfield from Birmingham.
