I was there last night, however I didn't see what happened as I was in the Loft Lower.
It seems like the suggestions are that he got chucked out for just waving a towel which is absolutely ridiculous. [Post edited 16 May 19:10]

I witnessed it, Brentford had a load of towels dotted around the pitch for their long throws, one of the towels was pinched by a fan and thrown around the stand, Sombrero man was a bit enthusiastic with his waving of said towel and was ejected by a steward. |  |

To be fair steward would be acting on instructions from the control room so I would imagine they knew exactly who he was etc | |
