Send him on and the opposition will almost inevitably score. Fernandes and Charlie Taylor were both very good and didn't look out of place against Arsenal. Taylor should have been playing all season. He is an experienced Premier League defender, who helped keep Burnley up for years, was Leeds' player of the year and a Championship winner with Burnley. [Post edited 25 May 21:36]

Who is surprised any more? Such ridiculous decisions are endemic throughout the club’s structure from top to bottom. It starts with the owners who appoint Sports Republics hapless employees and their cluelessness then filters down through to the players via a succession of incompetent managers. Result ? The worst season in the whole history of the club. Anyone who thinks that a thirty something new manager who’s never played professional football or managed in the U K, let alone The Championship, will put it right is deluding themselves in my opinion. | |
