Didn’t spot a poll but as much as I didn’t think WS was the right appointment in the first place I have absolutely no confidence in the clowns in charge to change tact and go for anything other than another left field replacement. In which case we might as well stick with what we’ve ended up with (until SR are no longer making the decisions) |

Let’s hope his first act at Juventus is signing a promising forward player called Damion Downs for £8M |

We won’t be troubling the promotion and play off spots this season, that’s f’sure! |

We haven't won at home since the opening day of the season (and some might say we were fortunate to win that). A win tomorrow not more waffle post match please WS. |

Was looking at going to this one with my eldest. I haven’t been there for 30 odd years, checked the train fares a week or so ago. Return on the same day(for 2 of us) was £289. I am going to head to Ireland to visit my youngest son instead now. |

Have people been calling for his head? I think he’s started poorly and needs to start getting a tune out of his team PDQ . I would personally rather see Sports Republic gone before Still. They haven’t got a scooby. |
 | Forum Reply | Southampton FC is not a football club at 09:53 21 Sep 2025
I’ve only seen the highlights from yesterday. It didn’t look great. Every team from here onwards will pump balls into our box if they have any nous. Couple this with our progressively poor home form (each game has somehow seen us contrive to be worse than the last) and I think next week is starting to feel like a definitive point for WS and the team. |

Currently looking to demonstrate our ability to get out of the championship at our first attempt once again…. |

This I’ve not been able to work out what the instructions are for the players so far Are we going for ball retention? Are we looking to hit teams fast on the break (no sniggering at the back) what is it we’re trying to do? Whatever it is, it’s been pretty dull so far. We look so slow and ponderous compared to other teams. |

The only game I’ve not seen so far is the Watford game. All the rest I’ve watched we’ve started miles off the pace. Today we set a very low bar to make that lot look half decent. Pinned back and lumping the ball forward to Archer with Shaughnessy marking him seemed to be our modus operandi. Second half was a bit better. Don’t look like scoring many goals from open play at the moment this season. It’s only 5 games as someone else said but jeez, that was shite. |

Why would that upset anyone? I’ve supported Saints for the same length of time. I’d like us to be playing at the highest level. Not having VAR spoiling games though is lovely. I’ll take the wins where I can at the moment. |

We have/are becoming a championship team whether we're ok with it or not. Sports Republic have taken an established premier league club and made it much much worse in footballing terms. I have no belief that the people making the big decisions on football will suddenly start getting it right now. Until they bugger off we are in purgatory. I didn't go yesterday but I watched the Chelsea v Fulham game yesterday and VAR once again favouring the bigger club, I can't say I long for us to return to the premier league to suffer that once more either. With regards to the football, the start of the season has been quite poor in my opinion. 2 late goals against a newly promoted team giving us our only 3 points so far. Let's see where we are after 10 games though, transfer window shut, new signings bedded in... |
 | Forum Reply | Bella-Kotchap gone to Verona on loan at 12:21 27 Aug 2025
As a Saints fan I’m delighted he’s out the door As a Hellas Verona fan (heading out to see them again in November/December hopefully) I am hoping he gets his career back on track at the Bentigodi. Verona possess one of the best keepers in Serie A (Montipo), I wouldn’t mind us getting him in goal. |

He is very good, we should have been in for him last season. The save he made from THB and the quick throw out from Frasers poor cross that led to their second were two particular highlights of his from yesterday. |
 | Forum Reply | The season so far at 10:39 24 Aug 2025
Who is writing him off here? All I said was improvement was needed. We always seem to be outcompeted by other teams. It’s been a problem at the club for about 7/8 years. Try not project a narrative that isn’t there old boy. |
