The Price sisters aunty Bridie had no hands and no eyes after handling a bomb for the IRA.

I did not agree with their bombing campaign at all, no doubt they had valid grievances back in the days when there was civil rights marches and they were being attacked and discriminated against, some would say they should not have taken up arms others thought differently that nothing would have changed if they had not done something but bombs was definitely a big no no for me. Do you think people in power, the politicians at the time bare responsibility for what happened or do you just blame the otherside for what they did ? Would you think differently if you was born in a Republican area and was discriminated against, would you as a young man have tried to do something about it if you was born that side of the fence ? I seen in the past that some old boys that fought on our side in WW1 in the trenches that years after that war blamed our leaders and politicians and not the German soldiers they were fighting, is there any of that feeling these days in you Boundy ?

I never saw any government blow up its own citizens so that argument means nothing , I know full well the injustices which were carried out by successive governments Tory & labour but none of which justified the murder of UK citizens ,do you believe that murdering is justifiable method of trying to achieve an aim?

I would not be surprised if some Governments have got rid of their own citizens. Murdering innocents is not justifiable as far as I'm concerned.

Depends on the aim, if the aim was just to be treated the same as the people from the other side of the sectarian divide then that's right and proper. Don't you think they should have been treated the same ?, same voting rights, same job opportunities, same housing opportunities etc, surely you don't support descriminating against someone because of their nationality, religious beliefs etc do you ?

What do you mean my heros, they are not my heros, I'm not a paddy or a left footer. It's like the red Indians or the Vietnamese or now the Palestinians, I don't like to see people discriminated against by imperialists.

Yet you use a derogatory words (left footer, paddy) to describe the irish Catholics, is that not discriminatory? Red Indians, also considered offensive these days. They are the indigenous Americans, Native Americans or just Indians.

I'm sure you can work out why, to try and get across to the Wirral bigot that I'm not in any way biased that I just think certain groups have been wronged in the past.

You don't need to use derogatory language to make a point. Using biased and discriminatory language to claim you are not biased, seems strnage to me. Would you use the "n" word to demand you are not a racist? You also don't need to use such language to point out that people have been wronged.

Perch and the like don't think they have been wronged in the first place even.

Bravest of the brave on 20:23 - Jun 13 with 862 views | Boundy | I genuinely created this thread as a way of reminding us all of who go about their everyday lives doing extraordinary and sometimes dangerous activities ,its a pity it was hijacked by someone who yet again who used it to post their own agenda. If he had taken the time to read the obituary it also mentioned that Mr Atkinson also served in other areas other than NI and created a lasting legacy ,something which was sadly ignored.

You're a good man and a brave one and one who has put his neck on the line for the likes of Trampie, masquerading as a humanist when it fact it is hatred that drives him
