Community Stadium. 08:28 - Jul 8 with 550 views | bwildered | How much of the debt in building of the stadium has been paid ? The building of the stadium was estimated at 10m ( ? ) has I recall and was financed by the Council through grants and loans. The club / Chairman paid a rent for the facility on the income generated by the club but any shortfall was made up by the Chairman has I remember . So about twenty years on what percentage has been paid up ?

The council took out a loan to cover £10m, and the remaining £4m came from various grants, including the Football Foundation. Obviously we still pay rent, and I'm not sure how that is structured in terms of minimum fee (based on council loan repayments) vs proportion of ticket sales, so I guess there might be a shortfall that Col U and/or Robbie have to make up if crowds are too low?

When JobServe took over the stadium naming rights I think the deal was the sponsorship was equal to the rent, so theoretically the stadium is paid for and we're there rent free.
