Upton on severn Rock and blues 20:54 - Jul 17 with 249 views | howenjack | The Upton on Severn Blues festival is on . The biggest blues festival in GB that is free admission . Iam enjoying the live music vibe sitting outside The Swan hotel ( it wouldnt be anywhere else) . Starts today finishes Sunday . Well worth a visit (parking / camping on site).

People were really friendly and took time out to talk to you which is something you dont get everywhere. There are also some quirky shops there especially bric a brac and antiques in the high street and when I was in the rugby club car park admiring a t140 triumph parked up the owner came into view and asked if I wanted to try it! I replied Are you sure ? He handed me the helmet and said Go ahead. I kicked it over , it started first time and I exited the car park leaving the wife talking to this total stranger whose bike I was rapidly disappearing down the high street with. I crossed the river Severn bridge did a u turn at the boating club and headed back to the high street which was pretty busy .The Bonneville definitely turns heads though and I turned into Upton rfc car park giving my new mate a thumbs up to which he suggested another ride advising me to turn right and head for the open road which I did for a couple of miles. The bike handled well braked well and acceleration was pretty rapid for a 50 year old machine. I was pleasantly impressed definitely faster than an old shovelhead. It made my day being given the keys by a total stranger who had entrusted me with his only transport back to Pershore. To Sean the cabbage farmer Thanks a lot mate youre a good un Ride safe .
