I joined when you first posted. Never done FPL before. It is totally totally different to Telegraph Fantasy Football.

What I love about TFF is the prices are individual. e.g. Schade and Carvahlo at Brentford are 3.3m and 3.2m. On FPL everyone's bundled in 1/2m's. Schade compared to his team mate and other teams midfielders is way undervalued.

Finding under valued gems is fun on tff.

Anyway, learning as fast as I can about all the FPL chips. Time consuming learning the strategy on when to use 1.

Finally got the hang of how bench boost works. Simple to understand but the ramifications of when you use it is a lot more complex.

Off to learn the strategies for the other chips now.

You are in the league. I'm not sure if there are glitches in the system at the moment at the moment, it seems a slightly different format.

The league currently has 30 teams participating, up on last season. Entries are still welcome, the more the better. Entries will be taken up until 8pm on Friday 15th when the Premier League season starts. It will then be locked for entries. Good luck everyone.

Whiterockin. 1st time playing NFL. Got up to speed on all the strategies but I have 2 questions that can only be answered by having played the game before.

1. Example. GK Kinsky 4m. Lots chose him. Which means lots may sell him if he doesnt get the starting berth at Spurs and his price could go down.

4m is the lowest price. Can his price drop below 4m or is that the absolute bottom?

2. Salah - Afcon. I can see a lot of managers dumping Salah before Afcon and then getting him back after it.

Will his price drop significantly at game 16, or more to the important, earlier e.g. week 14 . And vice versa when managers try and get him back in

I am no expert and usually hope to be mid table or thereabouts, but I'll try and answer your questions. Other better players please correct me if I'm wrong.

£4M is the lowest price for a goalkeeper. Some buy the cheapest back up keeper they can and never play them, it frees up money for elsewhere. I can't see a £4M keeper going down in price.

Who knows with the Salah valuation, it is normally pretty steady. Players will sell before the Afcon but there will be quite a few going, so there will need to be several changes. Remember you can play chips to try and lessen the impact. You also get one free transfer every week and if you don't use them they are banked, so may be useful for multiple changes in a team.

There are new rules regarding the chips this season. Here is some information to help guide you through it.

Remember its only a game, just enjoy playing.

Appreciate the response. So

1. It sounds like a 4m GK cannot go below 4m even if in the case of Kinsky there might be a massive sell off from those gambling he will get the No 1 jersey at Spurs

2. Still not clear the impact of AFCON on Salah and others.

Anyone else want to chime in on those 2 specific questions.

I am all up to speed with chips etc, strategies. I understand a player can only drop a maximum of 0.3 in a week.

Its just the AFCON effect that concerns where for a 3 or 4 week period there might be huge numbers of managers transferring out an AFCON player resulting in 4 consecutive weeks of 0.3m down
