Set up in the first half to protect the pairing of Parker and Burgress with Tymon and Key in tight and Fulton sitting in front of them, it did nothing to protect them with opposition wingers having ball to feet, Galbraith ending too far forward or pulled out to our left leaving big gaps in the middle where the opposition filled with numbers to support the forwards, basically ripped apart. Second half players got tighter to wingers and filled the midfield even Cullen dropping into the space between their lines of defence. Inoussa, Eom, Widell and Ronald will and did cause teams problems as seen at times but with the problems caused by the loss of players in the backline it is hard to build a solid defensive platform, There are obviously issues to be resolved in the midfield as well with new players in the team who haven't settled in yet. Sheehan had time to see player when he took over in seasons past, he has now got the job of fitting his pieces together without seeing the new players playing at Championship level before. I thought Fulton was very static today especially in that poor first half, lynch pin in the midfield I don't thinks so, he will have his uses but we need someone to take their chance in the midfield when it comes.
