Much is made of Stephens having been at the club for a long time and a good servant.

That is not based on ability or leadership, it is based on the fact that no other cub would have offered him the contracts/salary he got at Saints, anywhere else. Why would he leave ?

I still believe, 3 years was madness and not justified or needed. Spors really has miss judged this. I had hoped we had started a new chapter when he was appointed.

Being a good leader etc is one thing but is he really? Stood decisions and red cards coupled with the fact he is average still makes this totally nonsensical
