My wife and I have just made a difficult and emotional decision that we don't want children. If anyone does, please send me your contact details and we can drop them off tomorrow ! |

If planning visits to the popular museums, I recommend you check if you need to book in advance or online. I think the Ann Frank House also requires advance booking ? It might be ok this time of year, but worth a check. [Post edited 7 Oct 11:22]

I only watched the 2nd half. Damion D, again contributed nothing. For somebody so tall, he is awful in the air and even worse when he has his back to the defence trying hold ball up. Three or four times he failed to hold ball up and it was nicked away from him. I watched him on corners, and he barely moves and is so easy to defend against. I am for giving the guy a chance etc, but he is not showing any signs of making an impact this year, I may be proven wrong, but I doubt it. Fellows had a good game and made a difference. McCarthy also had a good game. Armstrong had a good chance towards the end that was only just wide, but a good effort. [Post edited 5 Oct 6:29]

Yep, sorry my reply was tongue in cheek ! |

Heisenberg, you do realise after "I would" has had a his meltdown, we would be left with JWP, play the ball side ways more than usual and still be paying his massive salary, long after " I would" has calmed down ! |

A bit drastic, but guess your message got through to SR. |

The points you raise are correct. The first half lacked any urgency, with slow build-up, lots ofd sideways and back possession and created very little. This suited Sheffield, who were happy to create opportunities on break or from set pieces. The second half was better for the first 20 mins and 2nd goal, but then we reverted to type, sitting deep and just inviting trouble. I don't understand why we keep going back to 'Rusty Ball'. A lot of these players weren't around last season when Martin was here, so is it something they are being coached on ? |

Where was Damion Downes last night ? Was he injured or dropped from squad ? NB: I am not too concerned that he was missing, just curious ! |

I saw their player kick and break the corner flag which is why game was held up whilst waiting for a replacement, but what lead up to him celebrating and kick corner flag ? Did they have a goal disallowed ? [Post edited 30 Sep 21:54]

Quite a cool finish as well. Took it well. |

Wonderful chance to go in 1-1 and Armstrong blazes penalty over top right. Penalty looked a bit harsh and credit to Stewart for chasing down ball to get it. Got to come out in second half and show a bit more urgency. It's all too slow and pedestrian. [Post edited 30 Sep 20:39]

Awful start 1-0 down. We have created nothing, It's like Rusty ball all over again. Side to side and back. They are happy to just let us keep the ball and hit us on break. Quarshie got turned easily for goal. |

Lyndhurst would be an ideal place to start, with a walk up the high street and visitors centre. It has good parking and has some nice pubs and numerous tea rooms/coffee shops. Can get busy but should be fine this time of year. There is easy access to Forest from Lyndhurst to see Pony's etc. It's not uncommon to see the pigs out in Autumn, as they eat the acorns that harm the pony's. This is an old tradition called New Forest Panage, that starts around Mid September until Mid November. If feeling energetic. a walk from Lyndhurst High Street to Bank (The Oak Inn) is a nice walk through forest (Probably a mile or 2 only) or upto Emery Down. From Lyndhurst, a visit to Brockenhurst nearby (say 3-4 miles ?) is worthwhile, where the Ponys roam freely. [Post edited 30 Sep 12:49]

Agree. Sheffler (World No 1) has a very average record at Ryder Cups. They even cut the rough shorter to help the likes of De Chambeau, who does hit a massive ball but can be wayward. Just noticed the singles on Sunday doesn't start until 12:00am (5pm UK). Why they couldn't start at 10:00am to help with European viewers is baffling ? They managed to start doubles on Friday/Saturday at 7 am ? |

They may have been brave, but did they trust the 'process' ? The result suggests not. I know we should all move on from the Russell Martin period, but I am taking great delight in him getting roasted by Rangers Fans. His arrogance holds no bounds. [Post edited 26 Sep 15:47]

Yep. Good start so far. It amazes me how these guys are so used to pressure, but the Ryder cup takes it to a new level. Disappointed that the Americans wanted to be paid to play in this event. As if they don't earn enough already. What a bunch of mercenaries. |
 | Forum Reply | Wood and Jelert have to start on Saturday at 07:35 24 Sep 2025
Will Still made 9 changes from the team on Saturday, to give others a chance to stake a claim for starting. Nearly all of last nights team made a difference and put in a good shift. It would be really disappointing if Still ignores this and reverts back to the players that have been very average or still playing 'Rusty ball' so far this season. It would also raise the question why so many changes if he has no intention of playing any of those that played well last night, other than to give them a rest ? |

The defence looked a lot more solid and organised. Flyn Downs and Quarashie had strong performances and their best games this season. (longer for Downs) Quarshie's aerial presence made a difference. The defence moved the ball a lot quicker from final third, rather than the usual slow lethargic build up. There was a lot less passing backwards. e.g. in Hull game there was 95 back passes compared to 76 last night. Jelert was more effective than Roerslev and didn't Give the ball away as much as Roerslev has done recently. We had more shots and corners than Liverpool and hit woodwork. Despite result, it was a lot more encouraging. [Post edited 24 Sep 6:58]
