Was scrolling on X looking at updates from the media team & they popped up.

They won today in the first game so are top of the NL North.

Apologies if an old thread somewhere but when they got booted out the league did they not start Sunday league like the Buckets 🤷‍♂️

If they did, they are doing well tbh

they did get some sort of bye but it was only too the NWCP i think? which is Tier 9 im not sure why think it was sumut to do with them still having their ground, we started from the bottom Tier 10 as AFC but their was never any Sunday League!

yesterday was amazing what an atmosphere 3600+ a few hundred from Morcambe i'd say..£12 in cheap beer in Starkies its a great afternoon the ground looks good the bar is great theirs a real sense of togetherness, its fantastic seeing the area buzzing again on Matchdays yesterday took me back.. actually seeing away fans wearing their colours walking to the ground, loads sat outside the Swan & Cemmy.. Bury are defo back and we're on our way!!
The football was good too good standard their keeper played excellent and they looked decent overall.. it had a real great feel to it and more to come i cant wait. It felt like a typical first game off the season back in the day.

Bury are extinct Rob.. Gone forever.

The Phoenix AFC bUry who nabbed your ground and your old name are doing rather well though.

You cant repeatedly tell yourself lies in the hope that one day people will forget.

Like cheating at Golf your only cheating yourself.

all i will say is sample it.. go down when u got a free saturday or tues go in thru the starkies turnstile up to the bar then u got a choice of staying in the bar or going into the main stand or south stand to watch the game the atmosphere is electric I'am back in love with Bury and it feels great.

if u go into the main stand u can go back n forth to the bar as u want during the game.. if you go into the south stand u cant get back till FT coz u got to walk thru the Manny Rd end.. its simply amazing.... a great set up now miles better than back in the day.

I'd rather be flogged to death with a sock full of diarrhea than go to Gigg Lane. No offence intended.

non taken.. i respect that as thats exactly how i feel about Spotland and other grounds i just cant do it, i thought of trying Salford i went for a nosey a couple of times when they were non league in the conf north and conf proper before we went bump overall it was enjoyable but when they scored i felt no real emotion really just clapped so whats the point.
their ground is abit nearer to me too.
