Its all a bit of an experiment, the Americans come up with the idea that they can take a small provincial football club, make a tv series on it and see how far they can take it and how much money they can make.
The problem is the TV show will only have a limited shelf life then the people who watch it will forget about Wrexham and they will go back to being watched by 5,000 people again and hopefully won't get a poor owner and fall into debt |  |

It was a massive game for Wrexham. Their first at this level in more than half a century. For their fans who were there on Saturday, it was the highest level league game they'd ever seen their team play. It was like a cup final for them. No wonder they were excited. I must admit I did smile when they went very quiet in those final minutes and looked so crest-fallen while the home fans were singing and celebrating wildly all around the stadium.
They've had an average of around 3,000 home fans for most of their history, but this new TV era has quadrupled their support. I wonder how many of the fans they brought to St Mary's were even in the 2,500 home crowds they had 3 years ago? Quite a few of their new fans would have flown over from America.
