Ain’t this the truth, I follow a few football groups on fb, one on attendances (would you believe eh? lol) and it’s amazing to see even clubs like Arsenal regularly around 23,000 early 80’s, only a few clubs would get over 30. Championship crowds are bigger these days. Interestingly, the fa cup used to draw bigger gates back then. |
Sad innit, I used to love the FA cup when I was young.
The sh!t PL has ruined it.
Its even worse in RL the super league has made the legendary Challenge Cup a mid-life season cup because sky made RL play in the summer.
