The disallowed goal for offside looks very tight indeed. Watching the highlights Dale should have won at a canter.. and then could have lost it.
Clean sheet and an away point. Could be a very important point come season end.
We just have to become ruthless and obsessed in converting all these good chances.
Huge game on its way - 04th November - Scunthorpe (2nd) at home.
You cant really see Gordon's position in relation to the defenders on Wokings highlights as they zoom in too much, on Dale's highlights you can see it a lot clearer and he certainly looks onside when the pass is played. You win some and you lose some when its that tight. A week earlier and Dieseruvwe benefitted from a tight offside not being given for his first goal v Yeovil - it was the correct call but I've seen the assistant flag for them in the past. It's a shame for Gordon but we still had enough chances for it not to have mattered.

Impossible to see the angles from our position at the ground however doesn't look offside with the benefit of the highlights.
As pointed out earlier we need to stop footballing teams to death and cash in on our pressure. Notwithstanding this Woking maintained their defensive positioning throughout and 'managed' Mani pretty well.
Second half we pressed but still with a reluctance to shoot from outside the box or cross early. Need to get Tyler Smith up to speed ASAP as an alternative goal threat.

There is a reluctance to shoot from outside the box in modern day football. A lot of coaches nowadays seem happier with XG and entries into the box rather than chancing a long range shot - there probably are no stats for that in modern day coaching manuals. They won't do long range shooting in training and it shows.
